Wasn't at the game, so I have no idea when the 2pt conversions happened, but I'd have 0 issues with an onside kick up 14-0.   When Dale's Bluebirds team were at their best, that was the MO.  Hit you in the mouth from the get go and throw in an onside kick or something to keep momentum.  Next thing you knew, it was 28-0 and the competitive balance of the game was over.  Then they'd call off the dogs (unless they were playing Covington Catholic.)   Weinrich was around for enough of those games to know it worked.

Onside kick made sense. Early in the game and CC didn't have a player within 20 yards of the ball. The way the game ended up going the rest of the half, the Birds needed it. CC jumped offsides 3 times while HHS was attempting to kick extra points. In a 10 point game with a big line and big QB, you take those extra points. Throwing late in the game didn't make sense to me.

He was trying to find a HHS administrator because a student from HHS was cussing him while he was watching their freshman kicker’s PAT.  Some heckling is understandable, but not the extreme this student was doing.  
After speaking with HHS principal, he went to the line and stayed on field talking with many current and former players, parents, coaches.

I don’t doubt that they may feel that way, and I know they saw what was posted on here. But it seems kinda silly to run it up on an inferior team and former coach to prove something to fans, and I guess themselves, if that is indeed the rumor?  Seems mentally weak, so I'm not sure I believe that's actually what went down. 
 

Do it this week vs Ryle and we may be getting somewhere. I don’t see a lot of tests left on the schedule so they better be blowing people out the rest of the way if they’re going to make a run in November.

A change at the helm was needed. But, I seriously doubt the old staff ever gave up 35 to Campbell County!

HHS threw it 8 times in the 4th quarter for 130 yards. 59 of those yards was a Screen. Not sure HHS was trying to run up the Score. HHS would of named the score for even more than they did if wanted. HHS defense wasn't okay by any standard that night but Camp Co's was horrific. Kind of reminds me of some of those Simon Kenton beatings that use to take place a few years back. But to say HHS was throwing deep in the 4th is incorrect. The last TD of 59 yards was a Screen to the WR behind the LOS which is most of their Offense. Just do a better job of tackling.

I agree. A poster said the rumor was that the HHS coaches were trying to prove a point. I would be surprised if that was the case. They need to prove a point that their pass defense can stop someone.

They might not have given up 35 but they did take a loss to the Camels.  I'd rather give up 35.

Agree there too. Bob doesn't need to prove anything to anyone. If they think so then it's just a Axe to grind. It's actually becoming quite Toxic reading some of the stuff on here. Just let the man coach.

Often times, coaches will completely open the playbook to run anything and everything just to put it on film knowing their next opponent(s) will study the film and be forced to spend time in practice covering things.  

We saw a very balanced attack against LexCath.  We saw the Birds pound it on the ground for 300 yards (10+ yards per carry) against a very good CovCath team.  And then we saw the Birds throw it over 40 times for 500+ yards (with two QBs with different styles) against Campbell and also successfully convert multiple 2pt attempts in 3-4 different ways using the muddle huddle.  

Ryle now has to spend time in practice preparing for everything Highlands has shown including the muddle huddle.  

The Birds have lots of weapons and lots of ways to score.  What is Ryle going to see Friday?

I don't think many of Highlands opponents want that to happen. Great things happen when you're good at all 3 things.
