Madison Central's best defensive lineman will be back this week vs Southwestern. Was out due to targeting call a few weeks ago. His absence made a big difference vs Bryan Station. That game came down to a two pt. conversion. Lack of pass rush killed them vs Bryan Station. I'd say Southwestern by 2. Madison Central's defense is stout. Should be a good one.

You are probably looking at a Trinity @ Bryan Station/Mad Central 3rd round game.

He’s one of my favorite coaches. Both those coaches tonight have resurrected those programs. It’s amazing the change in those 2 programs.

Mad Central went for 2 with 2:00 left and were stopped. Great ballgame. Central’s two best defensive players were out. Station deserved the win.

Station 15-14. Matchup in 2nd round - Central 21 BS 14.

Station. MC’s linebacking corps is shredded with injuries., but somehow their defense has been even better. My take on this is the team that wins regular season, loses in the playoffs, which is an indictment of the current playoff system.

When it gets to the Final 8, use the RPI to fully seed, not just seed Districts 1-4, and 5-8. Seed it 8 at 1, 7 at 2, 6 at 3 and 5 at 4.. Actually scrapping RPI is the best and go back to sister districts.

RPI is a joke. Currently, Trinity would be the 4th seed of the 4 teams in the “East”. They should RPI seed 1-8 in the 3rd round if you are going to use RPI.

Their TE is top notch too.

Cousin got after them on the ground this game. He’s one of the best backs in the state and in Pikeville history, and they’ve had a lot of good ones.

Yes. He’s a beast. Watching this game, it seemed like MC defense was ready for almost everything Oldham tried to do. Looked like M Central tried to keep their QB in the pocket. It is amazing how much coaching means at the high school level.

Probably the most improved team in the state by a wide margin. Should wind up being COY. MC could become best non Louisville 6A program as long as he’s there.

MC looked tough. Their DC is top notch.

That is a good breakdown. MC offensively has a sophomore back with 10 + tds and averaging about 9 ypc. Their WR #7 has an EKU offer and is a freak athlete and their junior LT has a UK and WVU offer. New QB came out for the team in week 2 and is now the starter, real good athlete but struggles on short passes, quite possibly the fastest kid on the team. Defense has been their strength. Their DL gave Pikeville fits, which is one of the biggest and toughest OL’s in the state, even for a 1A team. Big injury to their sophomore LB Hardge, who is an absolute stud. Out with a torn ACL. 4 seniors out of 5 in their secondary which has been a strength all year. They have lots of questions on offense which will eventually lead to their demise.

I don’t understand that either. MC strength is definitely defense. Not great on offense but can run the football. MCentral is trending up due to coaching change. Lots of young talent.

Madison Central lost a stud LB for the season due to a torn ACL vs Pikeville. Going to be a major loss. I’ll go with Oldham Co by 2. But if it gets close , Holcomb could pull it out.

District 8 is loaded this year. It probably has 3 legit Top Ten teams in 6A.

Madison Central has a real deal coach now. Should be a good one.

Tough injury to probably Central’s top defender in first half slowed them down. Was 14-0. Hoping it’s not a bad injury.
