#7 Ballard(4-2) will host #3 Trinity (1-6) after being on open week. Trinity is coming off a 33-32 win over Ohio #1 St. Xavier.

They have the common opponent of Male. Trinity lost to Male 24-10. Ballard lost to Male 51-14.

Trinity against St. X was led By QB Brady Willis who passed for 313 yards and rushed for 104 yards and a touchdown. WR Noah Meyers had 102 yards receiving. RB Armon Tucker had 2 rushing touchdowns. K Kellan McLaughlin kicked 4 field goals including a possible school record FG of 53 yards. The Trinity defense held the high powered St. X offense to 32 points which was St. X's 2nd lowest scoring performance of the season.

Ballard is led by QB Tristen Hawkins who has passed for 1036 yards and 12 touchdowns with 5 interceptions. Ballard has only rushed for 64 yards a game and relies on a passing attack that has talented WR Chaunte Marrero who has received 414 yards and 6 touchdowns. The Ballard defense has given up an average of 49 points against their two 6A top 5 ranked opponents of Male and Manual.

The Trinity offense has been able to put up points against their high powered schedule and should have no problem scoring against Ballard. Ballard with Marrero against the young Trinity secondary can score but will be a tall ask to match the Trinity offense. The winner of this game will be in the driver's seat of the district standings. Can Ballard get the win in their new stadium or does Trinity get their 2nd win and some momentum?

Trinity is riding high after knocking off Ohio #1 St. X. But I don't think this is a runaway win for the young Rocks. They surely want to continue their newly found winning ways, but Ballard can get the ball downfield quick and in a hurry. The T secondary needs to come in alert. This will be a hostile and loud environment. The Bruins have no reason to believe they can't win.

Jadairion Smith needs to be a force in this game, either by making plays himself or altering Trinity's game plan to account for him. He's been on a tear over Ballard's last four games.

Apparently against Male and Manual wasn't enough. I can see Trinity putting up 50 on them.

Dang, didn't realize Jadairion Smith has 15 tackles for a loss and 12.5 sacks on the season.

That's super impressive in six games. Trinity will win but I think it's closer than many expect.
