Only decent team that NL had played before tonight was Bell and they beat the Bobcats in OT.  I don't think they are a bad team but they were kind of a paper tiger coming in.  SW has had some injury issues but so does everyone else.  Full strength though, they are a pretty good football team.

NL has some young talent. Their time will come, but the schedule this year masked the fact that the Jags may be another year away from being a top 10 caliber team.

North Laurel will never make the jump over the Pulaski teams until they decide to amp up the schedule. 8-3 is the best they’re going to finish at this point year in and year out.

NL was overmatched up front and wasn’t quite athletic enough on the edges. While they lost badly tonight, if these teams meet in the playoffs it could be a different story. The Jags QB, Tucker Warren, is the real deal.

Southwestern's special teams also were much better than North Laurel's. Other than a missed extra point the Warriors were excellent in that phase of the game.  They blocked a North Laurel field goal, their kickoff team repeatedly forced North to start inside of their own 30, nearly blocked a punt and had a kickoff return for a touchdown called back on a call that we never did get a signal on.
