The D of Mayfield is going to have to tighten up, if they plan on making any type of run beyond the 1st round in the playoffs.

The scary part about Murray is they are a sophomore loaded team.

I recall earlier in the year, in another post and subject, I said that in order for Mayfield to continue to win, some personnel changes should be made. The response or reply I received from my fellow Cardinals basically defended certain positions, when I never said a position I said then and I say now, there are STILL CHANGES that need to be made. I am not going to embarrass kids and name positions or call names. Congratulations Tigers on a well deserved ballgame

Being the grandstand coach and scout that I am, I feel like Mayfield is the favorite, I am not sure how much of a favorite. I think if Mayfield splits the fastest receivers that it will be a quick game, otherwise it’s just going to be your regular Mayfield 35-Murray 7 game.

How do you explain to a second and third team player, if you get the ball, don’t score? Mayfield pulled the starters a little before halftime, they even allowed a lineman to run the ball and score , it could have been worse.

I will take Tilghman, because there is 1 game a year I do not pull for them…..

We have a motto in Mayfield, that motto is “Pride and Tradition Never Graduates”. I go back in time I attended my first football football game in the first grade and I was hooked. I did not play football, my sport was martial arts, however in Mayfield we very seldom rebuild, we reload and that is something that this community cares about, the football team. To watch those young men develop as well as grow is a awesome thing in our little community. At Mayfield we expect nothing less than a state championship each year, regardless if that happens this year or not we will still be proud of our little team.

Funny, going in at halftime when Coach Joe was chewing the officiating crew a new one , the ref(white hat) mumbles he is mad to me !!! I was like yep.

#24 played a great defensive game, he was on the quarterback so, bad I am sure when Caldwell’s qb took his j jersey off and shook it # 24 fell out of it.

The Caldwell game is always the most penalized game year after year.

I wonder how potent Mayfield’s running game would be with both Starks and Galbreath in the backfield.

Mayfield always has a chance, we are talking 2 A football here, it takes one or two suspensions, injuries or Covid cases with the other schools to be out of the running, on the other hand the same applies to Mayfield.

I don’t know about any other teams, but Mayfield is starting to find themselves individually and collectively, Mayfield has some good weapons, not bashing the team they played last night 9/17 , they slapped them in the mouth right out the gates you could see the other team almost giving up. I see them laying the Mayfield wood to teams now and only time will tell.

Not a good game, Mayfield played poorly, I think changes have to be made or a team like East Fork Consolidated School will beat them and it will be no deep run in the playoffs.

48-14 Mayfield rolls after McCracken jumps out 14-0, a few adjustments and expect a big game out of Starks Dabney combo and of course Kylan Galbreath.

That is facts, actually they start in elementary the plays are not as complex.
