Did Blaackar have an off game, or is it possible that when they played a very skilled team like CCH, they were able to cover him well and keep him from scoring his average? It's no secret that CCH's team is lacking in the height department. Maybe their gameplan was to swamp Blaackar all night, taking out one of Lloyd's top 2 scorers and forcing them to have to go to Walker instead. A lot of the comments seem to point to this being Lloyd mysteriously losing the game somehow and don't address the fact that a very good CCH team won the game.

Any idea why Cash Harney didn't play for CCH against Buford, GA on Saturday? Injured?

If CCH wants to have a shot at winning they need to come out extremely fired up tonight and play 48 minutes of absolutely flawless football. That means no drops in intensity, no special teams mishaps, no plays called back on holding penalties, no passes at receivers feet or over their heads and no arm tackles. If they can pull that off they've got a shot.

Bought my burger in the second quarter from the new varsity b-ball coach. Pretty sure I've bought one from him at every home football game this season. I like it. Definitely never saw his predecessor working any concession stands. Hardly ever saw him at any games that didn't take place on the hardwood for that matter.

So I'm gathering that Dylan Courtney is injury prone. Seems like Link would be the one to get the nod over Courtney moving forward based on how freshman football has gone. Hearing we have a pretty decent kicker playing for the freshman team too.

CCH has long snaps turning into safeties, missed PATs and all around shaky special teams performance this year. The "easy field goal" range mentioned in the original post was easy field goal range for a team that has a sound special teams unit. That's something glaringly lacking in Park Hills at the moment. I think when EE looked at how unreliable his special teams are compared to how reliable his run game was on Friday against Beechwood, going for it on 4th down instead of punting was the much safer decision to make.

Hearing Holmes roster numbers are lower than what they show on the KHSAA scoreboard. Some due to academic eligibility, others just not showing up at practice. Will the game actually happen?

That was ugly. We have no response for fast moving offenses.

To recap, CCH scores late. Bad snap/hold/kick causes a missed PAT. The very next play on the kickoff they let BW return it for a touchdown. That's net -8 points for CCH special teams in the first half.

CCH special teams are good for at least 1 notable breakdown every game this season thus far.

Link's biggest advantages are his height and ability to get downfield fast. From what I remember most of his catches the last 2 yrs have either been screen passes or long balls. BW seems to do well shutting down the screen most years and their guys were pretty fast last year. I don't remember them giving up any deep passes to CCH last year. Seems like this year we've kinda limited our vertical passing because Harney's accuracy diminishes quickly once he's has more than 20yds or so between himself and the receiver. I don't know if we wanna risk deep throws tonight with the speed of BW's defenders and potential for them to turn off-target passes into pickoffs.

Well sure, but like why would we talk about kids declassifying at Bourbon Co in a thread about BW vs CCH? Other programs have no bearing on the discussion. The '21 game between BW and CCH was being pointed out specifically. And I think the point being made by 92Rebel was that in that specific game BW had 5th yr kids playing and CCH had none. If somebody gets a ticket for rolling through the stop sign out front of Beechwood and then takes it court and tells the judge "A bunch of people rolled through that stop sign. Not just me this one time," would you expect the judge to tear up the ticket?

Oh boy the CCH special teams.

Apparently you didn't watch the game on Friday against Highlands. It absolutely is an issue for CCH. All of us in the top 5 rows of the bleachers could hear CCH's defensive coach screaming profanities at 120 WPM thru the glass in the press box all night because of how gassed the line was from going both ways. The CCH admins need to have hard talk with that coach because his language is a literal embarrassment to the school.

When's someone at CCH gonna address the 20 ton elephant in the room and acknowledge that the special teams coaching is obviously failing?
