Love the early season play, too bad they still have to play so many district games, it’s totally wrong what KHSAA does to teams like this vs. others, BUT let’s Go! Just play on what’s handed to you and let’s go!

Keep in mind Fryman is also one of the best baseball players in the country for his position and possibly one of the fastest track runners in the State.

He, like other offensive players played only half of a game more than half the season. Whether it was a pass or out of Wildcat touched the ball 6 to 7 times (catches or run) PER game.

I.M.O. Beechwood’s defense will need a major overhaul where returning players get much better and tougher as well as new players coming into the fold learn quick and make a major impact early into the season start. If the defense finds themselves then we have a contender for a State title. As for the offense, they’ll be ready against any team in 2A. However; would be nice if they’d play a harder schedule outside of conference play so that they could battled tested leading into post season.

Fryman’s offensive play wasn’t even utilized compared to any other player considered in this discussion. Hopefully he’s given a bigger opportunity todo more in 2026. His ceiling is very high. More important to the Fort Mitchell community, he’s even better person than he is a football player, baseball player or a track athlete.

Everything starts up front. Even though Edge was out, LCA’s defensive line and line backers created havoc which I.M.O. was the game changer. I felt LCA controlled the game from a defensive standpoint when they stacked down and brought the pressure, you can’t give OCA’s QB time to pick your defense apart and because tough LCA defense it made several 3 and outs for the OCA offense, great job LCA defense and LCA coaching staff. OCA was able to stay in the game when LCA let off the pressure on defense, but they didn’t let off much. LCA had really nice control on offense between run game and I am interested to see how much better they get next year with the large majority coming back, BUT again you have to give props to LCA offensive line making it happen. Great job on both teams making the State Championship and Congrats to LCA.

I picked LCA when I first got on the string because of their strength of scedule. BUT witnessing the OCA team vs. Beechwood my heart tells me OCA. If OCA plays with the same heart and offensive execution as they did last Friday I don’t see LCA beating them. Yes, If OCA O-line gives their QB1 time to pass such as they did last Friday it will be game on. Especially when the fields wide open for OCA’s running game then they have the “EDGE”. I just hope OCA’s Coach doesn’t pull off the gas for clock control and just let his QB run the show. No discredit to LCA, they are a great team and hope they do well, but this game will be ALL up front in the trenches and whichever O-Line executes, wins. Will this be the type of game with first one to 40 wins? I’m eager to find out.

Shoutout to OCA on the win and best of luck to them and the OCA community at Kroger Field next week. OCA’s O-line and the OCA Quarterback controlled the tempo majority of the game and was a bit suprised the ball was taken out of OCA’s Quarterback’s hands the last series of offensive downs, that gave Beechwood opportunity to get as close as they did to try and win with a 2-point conversion. I completely agree with Voice of Reason on his take the game too. AND If a could have, should have, BUT put the ball in your best players hands out of Wildcat and see what he could of done on the 2-point conversion.

Going to pull for Ryle, regardless who they play. Being A NKY team there’s really no respect we get being from the north part of the State by everyone else. Year over year it seems that way and I.M.O. as long as Ryle is healthy they’ll win.

CCH’s edge men will creat havoc on Boyle’s QB before he has time to pass to the big tightend. CCH’s Pitzer and the secondary will collapse quickly with solid passing coverage, I see a big turnover or two where Harney makes a pick six!

IMO…….CCH has got this, Highlands should have won against Boyle a while back, but coaching decisions hurt them, CCH coaching will be on point!

Cov Cath May not blow this game out, but they will sure win. GO CCH!

My head hurts reading all the scenarios, But much appreciation @ATLCat. IMO…. Beechwood’s Team and Fans have accepted how bad the RPI is set up and regardless what it spins out Beechwood is ready to get on the road and play the top rated RPI teams. Yes, not having home feild advantage stinks, but just motivates Beechwood. After all, they are just a bunch of athletes that run track. Let’s Go!

Peewee and middle school is one thing and High school is another. Beechwood won the scrimmages vs. Ryle last year and year before last.

Something’s got to change here “if” rankings are to be held as source of truth…… I think this was discussed earlier last week, but in 2A, there are 2 districts that have 6 schools in a district (examples are Beechwood and Mayfield districts). There are 4 districts with 5 schools in district. AND 2 school districts with 4 schools in a district (examples are OCA and Breathitt districts). Does anyone have the knowledge or direction where KHSAA will be going with redistricting to make the playing field better for everyone? 2A is not the only district facing these issues either.

Yes, but who has home field advantage later on in the playoff matter and based on this RPI system is a complete joke and not right for any class of football. Why have rankings if it’s that flawed, just draw names out of a hat on who plays where.

Maybe not a cake walk for OCA, BUT they will have it much much easier than the other 4 teams mentioned. Really hurts not having home field advantage in 3rd round and Semi-Finals, just because the RPI is not accurate.

IMO the 2A RPI is ridiculous….. I hope I’m wrong, but OCA seems to have a cake walk into State Finals when Beechwood, Belfry, LCA and Mayfield will duke it out to get there. Home field advantage in 3rd and 2nd round are crucial for each team.

This RPI system is flawed and not accurate! It shouldn’t even be considered for a true state ranking system.

Well, #2 and #3 receivers are really good, Fryman just helps open up more opportunity for them which gives BW 2 more powerful weapons.

In the season thus far Queen’s #2 target has close to same amount of passes as Fryman, not being open wasn’t the problem, it was more of the the rush attack from CCH’s D-line. Plus, Beecheood’s #3 receiver is just as good as #1 and #2, just not as many throws to him this season so far. It would be really great if Beechwood could play stronger competition prior to going into a game like CCH so they could be better prepared for the defensive pressure. I think this would help the offense all around.
