Yes, there is a big shortage of officials, in NKY and across the state. Between the shortage, quarantines and injuries, I believe the game was looking at having less than 5 officials……

“Big” wins is being thrown around pretty loosely. BG is 3-4, SK is 1-6 and Campbell is 1-6 and Boone has been struggling for a decade.

The Birds haven’t done a whole lot of winning the last several years, so I guess they need a lot of college kids, but you have that Elephant tusk, so that should even the playing field.

It isn’t even remotely close to “over 18 varsity players”. The number seems to grow each week. At this rate, it’ll be upwards of 40 kids reclassifying by seasons end. If we are interested in facts, the actual number is 16 kids, K-12. I look forward to talking about this again on the next thread pertaining to Beechwood Football.

Top 5 in 1A is not that impressive this year. 1A is Pikeville and everyone else. We will see how good NCC is the last week of the season. So far the only 2 games they played against anyone with a pulse, they got shutout and running clocked in the other.

Correct, but nobody is confusing Conner or Cooper as a top 5 team in the state. As far as Campbell shutting out NCC, that should tell you more about NCC than Campbell.

Campbell is a really bad football team, only beating them by 3 TDs speaks volumes to me about how good Woodford truly is.

Mayfield has their bye week coming up, that will hurt them just like it hurt Beechwood last week.

How come Brossart and NCC don’t play? I would think, with the great, new facilities and NCC enrollment/talent being down, this is a game Brossart would pursue to try and take over as the parochial school in that area of NKY. Any thoughts?
