How good is Woodford County?

BluegrassPreps.com has the Yellow Jackets ranked 4th in 5A and the TP94 Power Ratings have Woodford ranked 4th overall in KY.  Is Woodford really that good?  They only beat Franklin County by three and from comparing scores I am miffed by the #4 overall rating.  

So I will ask again, how good is Woodford County?

Well I seen them against Glasgow and mind you weird stuff happens the first game of the season but they were dominating. And it’s not like Glasgow has struggled this season they beat two really good teams in Russellville and Greenwood and the weaker teams they have played they have blowed out. I also don’t see the Franklin Co win by only 3 points as a bad team I still think Franklin is a really good team. I can absolutely see WC getting to the semi finals and then who knows. So to answer your question I do believe WC is deserving of a #4 ranking in 5A.

Woodford County is very good team but have high rating because they have blown out teams they have played except Franklin County. Looking at schedule won't know how good until playoffs.

Woodford's worst game of the year was a 34-13 win over Campbell County. They aren't just winning - they are dominating teams. The Franklin County win is a very good win. Their are no holes in their resume.

Campbell is a really bad football team, only beating them by 3 TDs speaks volumes to me about how good Woodford truly is.

Same, if Woodford is that good this game should have been a running clock at the half.

Franklin County lost to both Ballard and Corbin by three touchdowns, color me not impressed.

Like I said, that was their worst game. Campbell County has a shutout win over New Cath; a 34-0 loss to Cooper; a 38-7 loss to Conner. There are a LOT of teams worse than Campbell County and Woodford's win is comparable to the Cooper and Conner wins.

Correct, but nobody is confusing Conner or Cooper as a top 5 team in the state. 

As far as Campbell shutting out NCC, that should tell you more about NCC than Campbell.

Cooper and Conner are both top ten in their class and NCC is top 5 in 1A.

I would put Campbell County around the middle of all teams in the state.

I have seen a little bit of Scott County this year.  They look nothing like Scott County teams of the past so that margin of victory doesn't mean much to me. 

And I am going to post our 4A Rankings in this thread.  4A looks really weak after #6.

1. Corbin at Knox Central

2. Boyle County vs. #5 Lexington Catholic

3. Johnson Central at Perry County Central

4. Central vs. Waggener

5. Lexington Catholic at #2 Boyle County

6. Franklin County -- OPEN

7. Letcher County Central at Clay County

8. Logan County at Madisonville-North Hopkins

9. Hopkinsville -- OPEN

10. Spencer County vs. Valley

Top 5 in 1A is not that impressive this year. 1A is Pikeville and everyone else. We will see how good NCC is the last week of the season. So far the only 2 games they played against anyone with a pulse, they got shutout and running clocked in the other.

Covington Catholic beat Boone County 39-6. 

South Warren beat Eastern 44-6.
