  1. Any truth to a rumor that a former Newport coach will be joining the NCC staff as early as this week?
  2. Not a Cov Cath fan, but this kid is going to be a problem for the 9th for the next 2 years.
  3. We all know what this is about. It has nothing to do with being competitive and scared to play. Highlands was destroyed by Cov Cath the first 6 years Listerman was at HHS, didn’t stop him from scheduling them. If coaches in NKY feel the need to stand up and “boycott” Cov Cath because of perceived inappropriate behavior, then I say fine. Its the stakeholders in Park Hills who should ask the question as to why this is happening. And I’m sure the kids in the Fort will learn all they need to about “life” and being competitive every time they walk under the state championship banner.
  4. Questioning the competitive nature of Coach Listerman and Sullivan is comical. These two are leaders at their schools, highly successful as coaches, and have a fire and passion for winning.
  5. Well said. I totally agree. I think it’s the “specified rules” part that most agree to disagree with.
  6. I can’t speak for NKY, but that is what I believe. I’m not saying it is right or wrong, but the GMC currently does this to Moeller in Cincinnati. They won’t play them until state tournaments.
  7. Let’s just say there is very little desire to play Cov Cath during the regular season.
  8. Is this factual or speculation? Horn leaving CCH?
  9. If you live in the public district of your school, I don't think it matters, you are eligible to play. I could be wrong.
  10. Been my thoughts about this all along with not just Cam. Would be different if the football season would have been cancelled and these guys wanted a senior year, I get it. Not a fan....
  11. And there in lies a potential problem as Highlands shares athletes in the off-season. With the success of the baseball program, not to mention the recent state basketball championship, it seems as this could be a potential issue with these multi-sport kids.
  12. It shouldn’t. ?. Vinson deserves it.
  13. The Nevels brothers did wonders for the basketball program. The kids love and would run through a wall for those guys! A big reason for the state championship!
  14. Correct, with those players and whatever additions they get in the off season, I would put them at 9th region favorites. However, Highlands, Dixie, and Conner may have something to say about that.
  15. FYI.....it appears Highlands has just made 4 more 3’s.
  16. Sam Vinson . . . . . . . . Everyone else.
  17. This should not even be a debate. If he isn’t, they need a revote.
  18. This team...... What a year!!!! Has to be one of the best shooting teams in KY high school history. It’s amazing...
  19. That game was a lifetime ago, ?. This stage of the tournament, with 2 evenly matched teams, give me the squad with the best player, and that would be Highlands and Sam Vinson. Birds in a close one.
  20. McCracken has the same problems as everyone who plays Highlands this year. 1. Can you contain Sam without helping off their shooters? If you can, you have a chance. 2. Are you comfortable playing and scoring at a breakneck pace. If you can, you have a chance. I’ll take the birds by 7.
  21. Agree. They may not, let’s be honest probably won’t, shoot 66%, but they shoot enough of them to be extremely dangerous.
