Let’s just say there is very little desire to play Cov Cath during the regular season.

I am hearing this is a NKY thing for the most part, is that true?  Kind of like a boycott of sorts.  Noticed only a few teams from 9th region outside of those who have to play them for district seeding purposes on the schedule.

I can’t speak for NKY, but that is what I believe.  I’m not saying it is right or wrong, but the GMC currently does this to Moeller in Cincinnati.  They won’t play them until state tournaments.

I don't blame CovCath one iota for accepting kids from wherever, as long as they are playing within the specified rules.  Worth noting, CovCath has a ton of Ohio kids in the hallways that aren't playing basketball, or anything else.  It is a great, private, option for a lot of Ohio communities at about 66% of St. Xavier (and in most cases, much closer than Reading and Paddock).

I also don't blame other schools for not liking it.

Well said.  I totally agree.

I think it’s the “specified rules” part that most agree to disagree with.

Five games against N. Ky. teams that are not district games.

Actually make it three.  Other two schools are not in the 9th region.  I should have clarified my point and said NKY 9th region teams.  This seems to have been brewing for a few years now and seems to have come to fruition.
