January 25th. Gets to play Mason County in his return.

How about the Bishop Brossart Mustangs? They went 3-26 last year and just won the 10th Region All-A to earn the chance to play at state. Heck of a coaching job by the young Ben Franzen simply to keep the players engaged and bought in after the season last year. Good luck at state!

While I've heard nothing to say officially say otherwise, this is where my mind is at too.

Scott Ruthsatz (my dad) is NOT allowed into the cov cath hall of fame. Making this decision LESS THAN 2 WEEKS BEFORE THE EVENT. From there it gets much deeper & I am here to expose it all. After multiple social media announcements as well as celebratory dinners with the leaders that invited him into the hall of fame, Cov cath does NOT plan to address why he is not allowed in. CovCaths “leaders” told our family & others to lie to people about this decision on the event. These “leaders” have used my family as intimidation to make me not speak out… On top of each of them claiming if I say anything they will get fired. Really… Guys let's remember this is all over a high school HALL OF FAME… who really cares??? Like seriously.. Because of an induction into the hall of fame you will get fired if I speak out? Yes this was said multiple times. WOW. Sounds to me like there must be a lot more to this story than we know. I’ve known these people for 10 plus years I am not somebody from the outside. I’ve spoken to multiple that are affiliated with the school that feel the same way. The disrespect my family has experienced is on another level & has to be brought to light. This is all intertwined with my dads resignation last MAY. So who is really making the decisions at cov cath? If you have a son there now or were thinking about it I would highly encourage you to hear whats really happening with the current decision makers & make your own decision after that. Feel free to give me a call. On top of that big donors need to understand what’s happening behind the scenes as well. Now for the donors who have influenced these “leaders” to make these decisions against my dad & OTHERS I hope it was worth it. 10th Region All-A is finally rolling after a hiatus for the snow. Augusta beat St. Pat, Nicholas County edged out Calvary Christian, Paris handled Bracken County and Bishop Brossart almost hung triple digits on Robertson County.

Lost a lot of money the last two weeks.

Looks like it's official. Cayden Reed will suit up for Montgomery County starting January 25th.... he'll be playing Mason County.

And I think every NFL team knows that, so if you're the Giants, you get a King's ransom for that top draft spot, which I think would further ruin things for the Cowboys.

The 20 million dollar roster conversation is a tired one. They spent little of that on bringing players in and spent majority on getting high talent players to return they they already had. Oregon was rumored to have spent around 23 million, Texas was rumored to have spent more NIL than anyone. As Saban alluded to, it doesn’t matter if a team spent 100 million if you can’t figure out which talent to play or get it to play as a team.

Just when it seemed like basketball was getting really exciting in the 10th region, terrible weather hit, causing a week full of cancellations. Many games were called off, making this time nearly useless for teams hoping to compete. This disruption could change the schedules for everyone, as many of those games were important for regional and district standings. Now, teams will have to find a way to make up for lost time as they move forward in the season. This past week, only four teams hit the court in the region, and it was a mix of results. Bourbon County fell to LexCath, while Harrison County couldn’t quite manage against Scott County. Bishop Brossart had a nail-biter against Highlands, showcasing some fierce competition, but the standout was definitely Calvary Christian, who came through with the region's only win over Heritage. The KHSAA schedules are looking pretty exciting for our region this coming week with some great games lined up! However, I’ll hold off on sharing a specific list just yet. With recent cancellations, teams are in the process of rescheduling, so things could change quickly. It’s always a good idea to keep an eye on the updates to catch those must-see matchups, but for now, let’s stay flexible and enjoy the unexpected surprises! Week 6 Rankings: 1. GRC (10-2) 2. We will see how it shakes out I guess, but 8th or 9th is crazy. They have Bourbon and Montgomery coming up which will be a great gauge in where they stand. I wish they played Nicholas as well.

Who do you have ahead of them? Maybe Montgomery, if they get Reed back, but outside of that give me Mason in a must win regional game.

Wow… there may not be a more competitive region in girls’ basketball than the 10th. With 15 teams, only three have losing records. Interestingly, one of the worst records is GRC (5-5), widely regarded as the best in the region. GRC has faced an incredibly tough schedule and is currently sitting one of the state’s top players to ensure she’s fully recovered from injury for the most critical games. The region also features one of the few remaining undefeated teams in the state, Paris, currently sitting at 14-0. This week brings matchups that could reshape the regional standings. Campbell County faces Montgomery County, a game that will solidify one team’s position over the other—or even claim the region’s top spot with a decisive win. Meanwhile, Paris will take on GRC. While Paris remains undefeated, their schedule hasn’t been the strongest. A win—or even a close game—against GRC could vault them higher in the rankings. These games always seem closer, so I’m not sure about crushed but the Steelers certainly feel broken.
