Just when it seemed like basketball was getting really exciting in the 10th region, terrible weather hit, causing a week full of cancellations. Many games were called off, making this time nearly useless for teams hoping to compete. This disruption could change the schedules for everyone, as many of those games were important for regional and district standings. Now, teams will have to find a way to make up for lost time as they move forward in the season.

This past week, only four teams hit the court in the region, and it was a mix of results. Bourbon County fell to LexCath, while Harrison County couldn’t quite manage against Scott County. Bishop Brossart had a nail-biter against Highlands, showcasing some fierce competition, but the standout was definitely Calvary Christian, who came through with the region's only win over Heritage. 

The KHSAA schedules are looking pretty exciting for our region this coming week with some great games lined up! However, I’ll hold off on sharing a specific list just yet. With recent cancellations, teams are in the process of rescheduling, so things could change quickly. It’s always a good idea to keep an eye on the updates to catch those must-see matchups, but for now, let’s stay flexible and enjoy the unexpected surprises!

Cayden Reed will suit up for Montgomery County starting January 25th.... he'll be playing Mason County. 

10th Region All-A is finally rolling after a hiatus for the snow. 

Augusta beat St. Pat, Nicholas County edged out Calvary Christian, Paris handled Bracken County and Bishop Brossart almost hung triple digits on Robertson County.

Never visited that gym. May have to make the trip down for this one. 

GRC then Campbell in the 10th…….and then everybody else by a great distance was sure in evidence last night.  Clark over Bourbon by 38 and Campbell over Mason by 19.

How about the Bishop Brossart Mustangs? They went 3-26 last year and just won the 10th Region All-A to earn the chance to play at state. Heck of a coaching job by the young Ben Franzen simply to keep the players engaged and bought in after the season last year.
