  1. Best wishes to Coach Morse. That man did an INCREDIBLE job during his tenure.
  2. Was wondering the same thing…relevance?
  3. Hearing Crone maybe out up to two weeks...anyone else hearing this? If so, brutal blow for the Pioneers at a terrible time. Lot of pressure on a freshman QB. Is there no option at #2 QB in the SK sophomore, junior or senior class?
  4. Shocking to me that a 6A school with a roster as massive as SK’s doesn’t have a sophomore, junior or senior prepped to be the backup QB in the event of a Crone injury. I know from what I’ve heard Ober is talented and the staff has clearly identified him as the heir apparent…but if Crone is indeed out, that’s an awful big ask for a freshman to make his starting debut against a defense like Beechwood. With Crone - Beechwood 42, SK 14 Without Crone - Beechwood 49, SK 0
  5. My understanding is the extremely talented Boley is a reclassified sophomore. Is that true or is he a junior? I’ve seen both in print media.
  6. Can someone confirm this is the 14th season Coach Lucas has been at the helm of the Briar Jumpers? KHSAA site has Charles Lucas and Robbie Lucas listed over the last 14 years.
  7. Those QB’s for Dixie that were hurt…they ok or were they Injuries that will keep them out for awhile ?
  8. Final. Beechwood, behind 8th graders Tyler Fryman, Nathan Pabst, and Cole Coppage, knocked off the Colonels in dramatic fashion Thursday night at Beechwood. Trailing 14-8 late in the 4th, the Tiger D stopped Oldham County just inside the 5-yard line on 4th-and-1 to take possession on the 4-yard line. The Tiger offense then executed a masterful 96-yard drive capped off by a 50-yard scoring strike from QB Cole Coppage to uber impressive WR Tyler Fryman, who made a spectacular catch with an Oldham County CB fighting him for the ball. That made the score 14-14. On the conversion attempt, Fryman threw a halfback option pass to WR Owen McCormack in the right corner of the end zone to give the Tigers the lead, 16-14. The Tigers other TD came on a 24-yard pass from Coppage to WR Nathan Pabst up the left seam. Pabst, who was a leader on both sides of the ball, was covered tightly by a OC safety, but he was able to tap the bail in the air to himself and bring it in for the score. Other strong performances were turned in by 8th grade TE/QB/DE Bo Sowder, freshman TB/LB Brooks Becker, and C/LB Colin Morris. Impressive come from behind win for a very young Tigers squad. Congrats to coach Doug Ashley on his first win as the Tigers freshman head coach.
  9. Rumpuses are never good. Any idea who was involved? Heard it was chippy all night between the two fanbases.
  10. Congrats to Dixie and Coach Burke on the win! Also, congrats to Lloyd and their staff for almost pulling off a massive upset. Anyone have details on the Dixie winning score?
  11. Long Dixie TD! Colonels take the lead 13-12. Nail biter in Edgewood!
  12. Lloyd stops Dixie drive and takes possession leading 12-7 with 2 min remaining. MUCH respect for Kyle Niederman and Dave Brossart if this score holds. Massive upset.
  13. Lloyd driving mid fourth leading 12-7. Inside Dixie’s 25.
  14. Riley & Zulager with TDs for Lloyd. Unsure who scored for Dixie. Should Lloyd hold on and win this game, how big of an upset would this be?
  15. Aba Selm DESTROYING at left tackle. My goodness what a player.
  16. Will Dixie or Lloyd be broadcasting tonight?
  17. Tigers. Big. Welcome to the show, Cash Harney!
  18. Who will be the starting QB for Fairdale this season? Mason/Tran? Lazarus Vance still the main ball carrier this year?
  19. How long has this clown been principal at Manual? What about the gimped AD? What a disgrace on all fronts. I've seen a lot of laughable/headscratching parent statements/complaints/shots fired over the years, but have never had anyone suggest including ROE as part of a players' overall BA. That is .. astonishing. I wonder if there's an alternative side to this we haven't heard. Doubtful...and no one seems to be arguing the other side. If not, both P/AD need to be sent packing. Yet another reminder to never, ever assume that a position/title automatically means someone is sane or has integrity. And, mannnn do I feel awful for that kid.
  20. Good to hear. I've always had a lot of admiration for Coach Turner for what he's accomplished over the years. The way he coached up some of those Lloyd teams at the end of his tenure in Erlanger was very impressive. My guess is based on what I know of Turner and some of these experienced Eagles kids is this is a team that could be a serious dark horse this season and really surprise some people. Will be rooting for the Eagles and those kids this year. If you ever wanted to see an example of great people creating a textbook football pipeline/community, you should check out what those with Scott, Woodland and the Taylor Mill Eagles have done. Pretty cool to see in action and not easy to do. Tip of the cap to all of those folks. Go Eagles!
  21. If my math is correct, that's 49-0 the Eagles have lost the last weeks on varsity. I heard there were some injuries, but is there more to the early struggles? What's going on in Taylor Mill?
  22. Any details on this? Hate to hear that. Hope it's just a ding and nothing more.
