It was nice to see NKU get a win on a night where they did not shoot well either from the field (30%) or at the foul line (58%). From a spectator standpoint, it was fun to watch as they made up for it with hustle on both the floor and on the boards to remain undefeated at BB&T!
I agree the matchup was tough and feel that SH is a strong contender for winning it all. I also send congrats to the Lady Pioneers on a nice season and a great run to the tournament!
Congrats to what appears to be a great KY kid who gets his lifetime wish opportunity.
He appears to have his head on straight, displays a great work ethic and is the type of person we can all take pride in and will be rooting for him to succeed. His family appears to be good people also. Best wishes to Dontaie!
My bad-while watching the entire final table broadcast , the announcers advertised the winner's share at $10M, but I did see in a CNN interview with the winner (John Cynn) received $8.8 M but I am not sure how much tax was held out. Sorry.
Thanks for sharing the story. It is nice to hear about someone who works hard, perseveres and overcomes obstacles to be successful. Best of luck to this young man and hopefully others who follow.
Well, it doesn't matter much anymore because the Pens came back from a 4-2 deficit to win this afternoon 8-5 in Philly and wrap up the opening round of the NHL playoffs in game 6. Best of luck in the chase for a back to back to back Stanley Cup run. (which I understand will be a tough task)!
Thanks for sharing. Potential winter type weather has been mentioned on local NKY TV forecasts. Hope it doesn't turn too bad! I guess we will have to wait and see.
