Is there a point to this? We can all read the poll numbers, so what is the purpose of simply repeating one team's ranking. Is there a feeling that this rating is unfair or what?

If this truly is a week by week ranking then Campbell County should be ranked ahead of Mercer County.

Thats what I get for coping and pasting and not proof reading. Im not gonna throw anyone under the bus though.

 

This is not necessarily a week by week ranking.

 

We could rank by who we think wins each of the 16 regions and look great after the regions, but this is where a group of people( and its opinion) thinks each team is after any certain week. Also next year we are looking for basketball gurus that want to spend time figuring it out with us. You can contact me by PM and we can talk privately if anyone is interested.

Mercer County defeated the Lady Camels head to head in December. That should have criteria in placing them in the polls. Why should they be placed ahead of them? Is it because CCHS lost to SHA by only 1 point while Mercer County got blown out?

@Cameldad sounds like a good enough reason to me. I tend to think along the lines of “what has the team done lately”. A one point loss to the #1 team in the state trumps a 35 point blowout to a then #2 ranked Sacred Heart team in the state.

I find it hard to believe that E-town is not in the top 5????? 25-1, only loss is to Campbell County.
