Bowling Green returns most of their starting lineups.

I unfortunately couldn’t watch this game as I was at a Jack Harlow concert at WKU. Very proud of the Purples and thank you very much for the updates @theguru. Something I did think was pretty cool was that Jack Harlow gave a shout out to BG for winning state within a minute of the game being final.

Seems like a lot of mistakes by both teams. Game determined by who minimizes them and capitalizes off the other team’s.

Who gets the ball coming out of half?

Can’t say I expected Station to dominate the LOS.

You know you’re the real deal if even Coach Wallace is saying it (coming from a former player of his).

There is no way that kid is a freshman.

I think this game will be decided by a few things. 1. Can BG protect the pocket and block well enough to have some drive sustaining runs? 2. Can Cooper get the ball to their star players? 3. Can either team get some defensive stops early on? 4. Who wins the turnover battle? 5. Whose star players make championship level plays early on? 6. Will Cooper choose to play aggressive on the screens that BG loves to throw, or defend the deep threat? I expect a good and exciting game, with that said and me being bias, I’ll take BG 38 Cooper 28.

Cooper is only getting so much recognition because Highlands fans are clinging to them for dear life so the loss doesn’t look like as much of an underperformance as it really was. I think Cooper is a very good and capable football team, but if you read the forums over the past few days you’d think they’re the best team in the state.

This should be a good game. Give me BG 31 Cooper 28.

That is such a soft call.

Yes, has been out since before the playoffs started. Would’ve loved to see the offense with Barlow, Sweeney and Barber in the playoffs.

The only injury I know of is CJ Sweeney (pardon my spelling if that’s incorrect), who is out for the rest of the season. BG’s offense just wasn’t good all around. Bad play calling, O-Line struggled, QB lost trust in having time in the pocket, couldn’t run the ball, etc.

The video is on Twitter/X as well, that was a terrible call.

Then when Highlands loses in the playoffs there’ll be another thread on why the coach should be fired lol.

I mean, that debate can also be applied to the two losses as well. They were X plays away from being undefeated, or X penalties from Y. I have no problem with Highlands being #1, but I don’t think that’s a fair point.
