Ranking The 12 Remaining Teams

Featured Replies

I would like to see how everyone would rank the 12 remaining teams playing for state championships this weekend. Of course this is a very subjective topic so people’s rankings will differ, but just curious to see what everyone thinks. I’ll go first:

1. Boyle County

2. Trinity

3. Covington Catholic

4. Mayfield

5. CAL

6. Bryan Station

7. Bowling Green

8. Cooper

9. Owensboro Catholic

10. Pikeville

11. Raceland

12. Bell County

  • There is ZERO evidence that Cooper would beat Cov Cath. Cooper hung on for dear life to beat a Highlands team that seemed to get worse as the year went on. Cov Cath dominated that same Highlands team.

I always love these at the end of the year.

It's hard for me because some of these teams that lost or won when they faced each other H2H in the regular season that I would have a hard time picking against here in December.

I think I'll wait to post mine till after the games are played to avoid self inflicted controversy ?

I totally agree. I think my teams ranked 3 through 8 could all beat each other on any given night, regardless of who beat who in the regular season.

We will get a better idea on that 3-12 by Sunday morning. It could change in a myriad of ways over the course of the weekend.

But if they played and Mayfield won, would it surprise you?

It’s hard to rank this bunch after 1&2.

Would Cooper beat Beechwood?

It was only a scrimmage but no one disagrees that Cooper already beat Beechwood this year.

I noticed you voted BG to defeat Cooper in the prediction thread. Did you have a change of heart since?
