Uncannily accurate, especially as the season progresses. A wealth of historical info is available too, including "Dynasty Ratings 2003-2022" over time, which can be searched through the link posted above the screencaps below.

I do love their system as the season progresses but these preseason rankings are pretty far off. Central Hardin and Henderson are both way too high just to name a couple. Mayfield is definitely a top 25 team in the state. And I would say LCA is too.

Calpreps, like Massey or the old Litkenhous ratings improve(d) with more data, otherwise ...

Frederick Douglass rating is 40.2 and St. X rating is 24.8. Based on this, St. X did well in scrimmage with the 1 pt lost.

I'm  a big fan of Cal Preps, especially when it gets enough data. 6 or 7 games into the season and throughout the playoffs, it's pretty legit. 

This early, with all the graduations and newcomers, it's tough for anyone to possibly have a grasp without relying on the data from the season before, which makes for big discrepancies for a lot of teams early on. 

What a joke. # 1 FD will lose by 4 TDs at least to #2 Trinity. 

? Notable wins last night by Highlands and Raceland vault them to the top spot in their respective classes.

Ballard and Bowling Green re-enter the Top 20 with sizable wins over GRC and Central Hardin.

In the Class rankings, Corbin slips into second over Cov Cath in 4A; Male jumps up four slots to the top of 6A.

St. X strength of schedule dragging them down to 7th. 10 point win over Male not enough to overcome Central and Floyd Central wins plus loss to Elder. 

One or two mistakes against Cov Cath are the difference between Beechwood at #20 and Beechwood probably around #7 or so and possibly #1 in 2A.

That could be said about a lot of teams. From what I've seen of Cov Cath, I don't think they are on the same level as Boyle or Corbin and possibly even Tilghman. Good team, just not elite in comparison to the other top ranked teams in there class.

From what I saw last night on tv, Tilghman looks better than Cov Cath. PT has too get it together on the penalty's though. It will cost them somewhere down the line.
