The new format was bad for all really. Another new thing they started is that if you were not competing in that session you could not be pool side you had to stay in the corner on the deck by the exit. My daughter said not only could you not see it was a huge fire hazzard which I think is what they were trying to address. Several of the girls and even girl coaches who didn't have boys competing had to buy tickets and take up precious bleacher space. Also if they were not going to put dive finals in the correct event sequence as previous years and put it before swim final warmups, they should have just did the entire event at once. The way they did it swim parents were lining up just after 3 for swim finals that started at 7 because the doors opened at 4:30 for diving. Not well thought out IMO.

No Teddy’s oldest is a fifth grader. This is Teddy’s cousin’s kid. Two of his nephews are on the team. Incidentally five Arlinghaus cousins/second cousins are on HC’s freshman team.

It is an outlier. Middlesboro couldn’t stop HC’s big center Thomas. She just shot over their head and in the first half couldn’t miss. Middlesboro also didn’t sub much and HC had fresher legs at the end.

I haven’t seen a lot of the teams play but Owensboro Catholic is really good and Danville has a strong team. HC was 1-12 from the three this game I think. They will need to be hitting to have a chance.

Last 11 seconds. HC up by 4 foul st Henry on the sideline. St Henry makes two free throws. St Henry fouls and HC misses both. St Henry drives down and HC scatters presumably to avoid fouling and ST Henry misses a layup at the buzzer. HC struggled with free throws at the end.

Holy Cross has a nice JV team. Has lost only to NCC in a game where they just couldn’t get things going and Pangallo played very well for NCC. They beat CCH in overtime earlier in the year.

Not sure if we are at the same school but that is how it is at my daughter's school. She played soccer in high school but another sport in middle school and actually qualifed for state as a 7th grader. We always joked how funny it would be if she decided to quit (she had to pick between her two favorite sports) that the first female state qualifier from that school would not have a varisty letter. I think the rule is dumb but if across the board as we have experienced whatever.

I wasn’t there but they ran the games at 2:00, 3:30 and 5:00. Highlands had back to back games and I was told they didn’t go deep on their bench. The kids may have lost their legs the second game. But I was also told HC played well particularly down low with the bigs.

Holy Cross beat Ryle in the first semi final setting up a match with Highlands who beat Scott in the second semi final in the final game starting at five tonight .

Any word on where he will be going for high school? I heard his dad had some ties to HC but not sure what?

Good teams getting left out happens all the time up here in the ninth region. Should Notre Dame be left out of the state vball and soccer tournament? I would hazard to guess they are top 16 in both. That’s why there are regional tournaments.

My understanding was multiple late hits. I was there. The first was definitely a late hit on HC's qb. The other was the far side of the field so I couldn't see well. From the KHSAA site after an ejection they must sit one game.
