Middle School Football tonight at PRP High School
There is a three team jamboree type event tonight at Pleasure Ridge High School. The Stuart Spartans will be 1 of the teams there tonight with new Head Coach Brian Dennison. His defensive minded team should show out tonight. Tough season opener next week vs Olmstead. Hope everyone is safe this weekend.

No more crack blocks!! Is football getting too soft?
I think they need to take away blitzing. How many times does a lineman throw his body in front of a full speed blitzing linebacker, or the poor running back that has to take it on.....smh that's the collision that needs to be removed.

Pleasure Ridge Park 3 Highlands 2
the player advancing with the runner on 3rd is called Defensive Indifference I think. Second, Glass can also hit the ball and he's only a sophomore. I had the pleasure of watching him play with my son with the Hornets growing up. Great kid.

Should schools be required to report Statistics to the KHSAA
Also, if you use HUDL, it imports into Max Preps. If you use TAFSB as a few Kentucky Schools do, it imports into hudl and then into max preps.

Proud dad moment
So I know that this is not really a football post but in the long run it is. So to go along with the accomplishments Jacob Ratliff (Rising Junior, OLB, Oldham County) has gotten on the football field (1st Team All-District, Led team in Tackles, Tackles for loss & Interceptions), he just received his ACT score. He scored a 28 as a Sophomore, so that and his 4.0 G.P.A. really improves his chances of playing Football in college. May not be D1 but a free education and getting to play football sure is awesome. :thumb:   :taz:  :ylsuper: :dancingpa

Advice on Football Camps
So with a rising Junior myself, this is how I view what we do. We've did this his Freshman year and also doing it this year. During the Dead period, June 24th, we will travel out of town to a small college. Its just me, my son, and my dad. We make it a bonding trip. While he is at the camp, if he can learn 1 thing that will make him a better player then its worth it. If you keep in mind going to a camp probably wont get him recruited but learning something that makes you a better player and using that and hard work might.

Open Job: Fairdale
Wright started as an assistant at Henry County before taking the head coaching job at Beth Haven then on to Fairdale. I like the move back to Henry County.

So I'm hearing rumors that the powers that be are cracking down on 7on7?
I dont know how any of this works. I called Jerry Wyman's Office but he was out of the office. I'll be calling back on Monday.

So I'm hearing rumors that the powers that be are cracking down on 7on7?
There is already a rule in place that they can not play in the Fall during Football season.

So I'm hearing rumors that the powers that be are cracking down on 7on7?
I agree, but I know football is a totally different beast

So I'm hearing rumors that the powers that be are cracking down on 7on7?
So I was told today, that if a High School player plays 7 on 7 during the Spring season for someone, other than their High School, they are ineligible to play in the Fall for their High School? They said that it was anew rule that was implemented this year. Has anyone else heard of this?

District 29 round 1 February 22 2017 South Oldham vs. Oldham County
It was a tie ball game at half. Really good game, OC's Freshman Center was a big spark for them off the bench. Plenty of assists from the high post and plenty of offensive rebounds and put backs sparked the 2nd half run that pulled them away.

Oldham County 2017
In my opinion, they have to change the mindset of the players. Coach Fox already has it going in the right directions. OC has the potential to be very explosive on offense this year. Lucas Jones, Zach Young, & Chase Sample will be on everyone's radar when they play them.

Mr. Football?
Maybe they are waiting on Bluegrass preps to release their team before they release Mr. Football. They would hate to see their MR. Football not be on the Bluegrass Prep's team. lol :-) Or did I miss the team post?????? That definitely could have happened, lol.

Stuart Middle Hires New Football Coach
Congratulations to Coach Brian Dennision on the new position. Brian has been to multiple youth league championships while winning 1 at Stuart (PW level) and 1 at Derby City (Seniors). His knowledge of the game will help him build the program that has tremendous support from the administration.
