  1. Half time stats Highlands Cramer 4-5 83 yards 2 td Wilson 3 for 41 1 td Schwab achieve 6 for 40 Veneta 3-74 2 TD Oldham County Edwards 8-14 77 yards Jones 15 carries 83 yards td Young 7 catches 61 yards
  2. OC drives to highlands 18, then a sack and and touchdown that was incorrectly called incomplete followed by introducing in endzone
  3. Oc on the field warming up.special teams. No rain right now and a cool 58 degrees.
  4. For OC I see 100+ team rushing (65 for Jones & 45 for Calderon) , 178 yards passing to 5 different receivers (Ratliff, Samples, Young, Moore & Deckard). Close game, 21-17, OC wins on a pick 6
  5. I'll have to throw out Junior Jacob Ratliff for Oldham County. Was 1st team All-District as a sophomore at OLB and led the team in tackles (79) and INT (3). New coach with new system and he transitioned to Strong Safety. He currently has 4 INT, returning 2 for touchdowns, has 49 tackles with 10 of those being tackles for LOSS. Has to be one of the best open field tacklers in the state (Dad's opinion). He also starts on Offense at WR. He has 19 receptions with 1 TouchDown and 1 2pt conversion. Only comes off the filed on Kickoff, kickoff return and punt. Here is his film for this year: 2
  6. I reject it because it has OC playing Trinity 1st round????? Come on MAN!!!!! ;-)
  7. Plus they will have one of the best stat/video guys there also. ;-)
  8. My son goes to OC and I played at Manual so its those two and of course ANYONE that's playing Male!!!!!!
  9. Stats never tell the true story of the season but it helps a little when you don't know the other team. So comparing each other this is what I see. Highlands is balanced in the run and the pass game just like Oldham. Schoellman, the #7 ranked QB in 5A per the KHSAA stats page, in 9 games, has 1573 Yards with a 13 - 10 TD to Int Ratio. Oldham County's Erix Edwards, the #11 ranked QB, in 7 games has 1096 Yards with a 16-7 TD to INT ratio. Highlands depend on 2 receivers to carry the load. Nick Veneman who has 34 catches for 530 yards and 8 TD and Jared Wogan has 35 catches for 449 and 3 td. Oldham spreads the ball around. their top 4 receivers are Jacob Ratliff with 19 catches for 141 and 1 TD, Chase Samples with 20 catches for 324 and 8 td, Jalen Moore with 21 catches for 440 yards and 5 TD and lastly Zach Young with 22 catches for 358 and 6 TD. Its kinda pick your poison with those 4 and then throw in Jackson Deckard who has 13 for 146 and its hard to double any of them. The rushing looks to lean towards Highlands a little. They have Schwalbach who has 585 yards and 14 tds and Wilson who has 393 yards. The Colonels lean heavy on Lucas Jones who has 818 yards in 9 games and 5 tds. Defensively, Stat wise goes to Oldham. They currently are 9th in defensive scoring allowing 16.9 points per contest. In their 4 loses they lost by 6 in overtime at Henry County, The #4 ranked Collins by 7, the #4 ranked South Oldham by 10 and Bullitt Central by 2. Highlands lost to Simon Kenton by 5 and Lex Cath by 3 but the others were all big numbers. Their schedule was very tough so their defensive stats are very deceiving. They did have 12 interceptions and had Steiden leading the way with 4. OC was led by Jacob Ratliff with 4 int while returning 2 for touchdowns. They are led by Inside Linebacker Forree with 62 tackles. I'm a little biased because I have a dog in the fight but I'm going for OC in the upset 28- 26 Stat of the week... Highlands has scored 30 touchdowns and converted 30 Extra points (21 kicking and 9 2 pt). The Colonels have scored 33 Touchdowns and converted 31 Extra points ( 28 Kicking and 3 2pt)
  10. Sounds like a stud there. Thanks guys, I appreciate all the info. Hope everyone has a great Friday night and onto the playoffs next week!!!!
  11. Lets go OC!!!!! Once again, no poll. Your killing me Colonel Mike. ;-)
  12. I agree on the tackles part for the Free Safety, not so much on the strong because he may be walked down as another linebacker or blitzed or even in the flats in some cover 3.
  13. Awesome list guys, thanks. Going to check them out tonight when I get a chance.
  14. I think it is a great Idea for small High Schools. Having coached it for a few years it is very exciting to watch and coach
  15. I appreciate the comments guys, but tell me some of your better secondary players. Would love to check them out. I'm a big Film guy. Like to see the kids make their reads and follow their keys and make the play. That's why I love football!! ;-)
  16. well for OC it is very important. If they beat their week 10 opponent they are a 3 seed and travel to Highlands, if they lose they are a 4 seed and travel to Cov Cath.
  17. So watching this position is new to me. So when my son transitioned from Outside Linebacker (1st team All-District the previous year) to Strong Safety I was a little weary. I knew that would be the position he would play if he plays college (5'10" - 170 lbs) but he had NEVER played it in the 13 years he has played football. He has had a solid year, but I'm not sure what his "STATS" should be, like I would if he was playing LB. Who are some of the people I can look up on Hudl and see them? Thanks for your input.
  18. They will have the #2 seed and host Dixie Heights from what I can tell,
