Now they are fragile .... come on ... really? And they shouldn't play baseball? I understand that baseball isn't the most physically demanding sport in the world ... but now they are "fragile" and "maybe they shouldn't play baseball in the first place" We obviously disagree ... no problem there. I will never understand why a coach decides that the team that he is responsible for needs a day off ... and it gives you a license to say that the kids are "scared", "fragile" and that "maybe they shouldn't play baseball in the first place". I must be getting old or something ... that was there second day off this season that I can recall .. nearly all of those kids have been going hard since Christmas break or the dead period (not necessarily just for baseball). There is an accumulation effect in their somewhere. We can agree to disagree ... but I have a pretty good feeling that the Coach made a great decision.

Seriously? Why is it that you have been blasted in this thread ... with just a very small minority of exceptions .. yet I am the one who didn't read your post? I think the problem is ... I did read your post. And your "frustration" does not outweigh a coaches decision to do what is best for his program. I have zero issues calling it a forfeit .. and I would bet money Coach Mullins would share that opinion. Now we are comparing high school baseball to climbing Mt. Everest? Sounds pretty dramatic to me .... I get where you are at (coaching track for a while really helps me understand) ... but would you support the move if the situation was reversed? Who should we trust in matters that regard the health of Beechwood players? You (maybe if your Mt. Everest analogy was in the neighborhood of being true) ... or the coach who is with them everyday?

Says the guy who said Beechwood was "scared" ... ha, ha Sometimes, as a coach, you make a decision that you feel is best for your team and the health of your program. Moving forward ... we can make sure Coach Mullins contacts you for your coaching insight. I love it ... you have a program that decides to put the health of their team in front physically wearing your team down ... and next thing you know ... they are "scared" ... Pretty sure you are the one that needs to "stay classy"

Or ... could it be that the coach understood how hostile the environment was ... and decided that it would be better (better mentally that is) for Ethan to come straight to the mound and pitch? If there is anyone who understands the value of a good warm up in any sport ... it is me ... so I definitely understand where you are coming from. At the same time ... every once in a while a coach feels like they need to take a different approach (especially in high pressure situations) ... Or .. I suppose you could always ask the head coach what his thought process was?

And again ... I was, have, and will continue to address the only points that I have tried to make ... 1. Don't post information from "sources" when the poster admits upfront that it is not verified (and specifically the fact that all athletics could be stopped if Fairview takes a certain course of action). 2. The KHSAA will never close down all athletic programs at a school .. simply because they have never taken the path of penalizing kids who were not involved. I intentionally did NOT talk about what Fairview did or did not do. I NEVER EVEN brought it up. And most IMPORTANTLY--I NEVER QUESTIONED ANYONE WHO HAS DISCUSSED THE ALLEGATIONS. Do you know why? Because I have zero knowledge or understanding. That does not mean I don't believe you ... or I am questioning you. It means that I do not know or care about what Fairview did. As I said before ... the biggest losers here could potentially be the kids who live in district .. who have done nothing wrong (in direct relation to the possibly that sidelinedoc posted). Ask yourself .. who are the potential biggest losers here? It isn't just the kids/teams that got beat by a team that was not following the rules. Maybe it is the kids who were pushed aside at their own school ... who lived in district .. did nothing wrong for kids who should not have been there. If sidelinedoc's self admitted unverified comment turns out to be true (the KHSAA may shut down all sports at Fairview) ... I will be the first one to say I am wrong .. and apologize.

Find where I have even spoke about that at all ... I have NOT. And will not. What about the girls on the cross country team? Should their program be closed down because of the idiots in the football program? You tell me? Again .. I have made it clear that I am not addressing the people involved who are involved. I am speaking for the ones who are not involved.

Who do you go to? If you go to the KHSAA ... they are going to follow their hierarchy ... did you talk to the principal, did you talk to the superintendent? What do you do then? Go to the cops? Sure ... of course. Maybe that is what we would do. But I can't tell you that because I am not involved. But it is never as easy as it seems from the outside.

Okay .. we are getting closer now ... the problem with what sidelinedoc said .. is that he ADMITTED that the comment was not verified. My point there ... why spread it if he is not sure? My point there .... we have kids who are innocent who are going to believe that they are not going to have an athletics program because of the situation. So .. that is where I am. I really don't care what happens with the ones at Fairview who are involved. I think that everyone needs to remember that there are kids at Fairview who were not involved. We can't forget about them ... because the truth is ... they have suffered in a different way than most understand. If sidelinedoc feels slighted by me ... I apologize. You guys obviously have more insight than I do. Which is why I didn't go into that part.

Nope ... not going to be satisfied until the adults in charge (there and on this website) quit acting like they are more important than the kids at Fairview who have done nothing wrong. Roll your eyes all you want ... but your posts have always suggested the same thing that I said to Ram (that if this were your team .... you would fight to the death to defend the kids who did nothing wrong). Fired up? No ... Tired of people who try to pass speculation off as fact? TIRED OF IT. It comes down to this ... someone needs to remember the kids at Fairview who didn't do anything wrong ... who go to the correct school based on their address, etc. There are adults on here who seem to forget that point. The people at Fairview who are the root cause are the ones who need to be dealt with. (which is what sidelinedoc mentioned .. and even clearly said it was not confirmed). From there .. your lack of reading comprehension led you to give examples of how Fairview cheated ... (which I NEVER even discussed). Seriously .. could you be anymore clueless?

Not sure how or why you are calling me out in regard to examples of foul play ... matter of fact ... I intentionally did NOT speak about my opinion as to whether Fairview is guilty in this situation. Matter of fact ... I could care less as to whether Fairview did this or not. I do, however, care very much about the part where sidelinedoc put something on this board that he admitted was not verified. I think I made my point pretty well when in regard to the fact that the KHSAA is NEVER going to shut down an entire athletic program (because it would affect innocent kids). I am sure they will get some sort of punishment .. but it is pathetic to think that the KHSAA (or even spread that speculation) would give Fairview the death penalty. Yes ... I would (and you are actually proving my point--but in a different way than I intended). The KHSAA would never pull a move like that for a couple reasons ... 1. The KHSAA has never penalized an entire athletics program and most importantly .. the innocent kids who will most likely be the only ones around to feel the pain. 2. They wouldn't have to shut the program down. If there are 50 kids on the football team .. and only 20% are left ... well .. my math isn't great sometimes .. but I haven't seen a football team (for example) play with 10. The one thing that I always get from your posts, Ram, is that you truly care about the kids in your program. And I would have no trouble betting on the fact that you would do/say everything possible to ensure that the 20% who is doing things the right way ... are not penalized by the stupidity of adults.

I love it ... "without absolute confirmation but I was told by a SOURCE that IF Fairview accepts the penalties imposed without appeal, it will only be football .... " Sounds like it is time to 1. Quit posting things that you even admit to not having confirmation on. 2. Find a new "source". If you think that the KHSAA and or Julian Tackett would close down athletics at Fairview based on what your "source" told you ... then I feel sorry for you. People can say a lot of things about the KHSAA .. but the day that they start shutting down entire programs for infractions is the day they have sealed their fate forever. The KHSAA is never going to penalize all athletes at a school by shutting their programs down due to the infractions of one sport. People may disagree .. but I would be willing to say that the KHSAA will eventually speak to the fact that a large reason why they are investigating is to ensure that the "legal" athletes are not penalized by the stupidity of others.

As quick or quicker... maybe? Powell probably has that edge. I am not so sure it is as cut and dry as you think ... ... I certainly hope that Stringer is not as fast as Powell ... tying bricks to Stringers legs to slow him down probably won't go over very well at practice. Pretty sure that Stringer ... in a straight line ... is as fast as anyone in NKY. Keep in mind--I am the guy on this site who usually debunks the "4.4/4.5 legit forty time" knuckleheads ...

Actually ... both of you are probably right. There were 10 different guys who had significant time on the D-Line (there were 3 others that played We definitely had some guys going both ways ... but ... depth allowed us to make some good moves (for instance--Combs played 3-5 defensive snaps total in the 2nd half). By the end of the game .. there may have been two guys going both ways (and they were skill guys).

I guess i dont see what in the world you guys are talking about. It doesnt take a genius to be confused as it appeared that #53 was no longer on your roster. When Mayfieldsportsfan told me who it was ... it made a ton more sense because the young man in question was listed on the roster wearing a different number ... and after looking ... he was listed as having the different number last year. Your buddies were the ones who were "brash" .... and decided to act like there was some huge conspiracy. If i was trying to mess with you guys .... I have a feeling that i could do that in 3 words or less. For once ... why dont you call out your fanbase for assuming that the world starts and ends at the Mayfield city limits.

Good one guys .... more proof that you constantly show your true colors. Whoever was 53 last year reminded me of a guy I played with when I was in school. Not real big ... but quick off the ball ... and scrappy. Yeah well .. my buddy that #53 reminded me of ... is really sick ... having a very hard time (like .. not making it type of hard time) Lord forbid that certain players catch my eye ... remind me of guys I play with. Not to mention that the guy is no longer on your roster ... If I need to put up some clips of #53 ... I will be more than willing to do it ... real classy.
