Colonels travel up Dixie Hwy to Ft Mitchell in what should be one of the better games in nky.

 

Who wins and why?

Tough game. I barely side with Dixie but nothing would surprise me.

The Beechwood offense needs to get untracked. They have struggled versus the two big school defenses they have faced (Conner scrimmage, Lima OH game one). The defense is playing well, especially the defensive backs and ends. That should serve them well versus Drew Moore. They do need to tackle better. The matchups tell me that Beechwood has a good chance to knock off a quality 6A team.

There's still some question marks about how good this Dixie team is, imo. They played an injury riddled CCath team fairly close, but, what would the outcome have been to a healthy CC team? Hard to say. I'd probably give them a slight edge in this one, but, it wouldn't surprise me to see it go either way.

If Dixie doesn't turn the ball over 4 times like they did against CCH, they should be fine. I look for them to chalk up the "W" Friday.

It all depends on what style of offense Brossart goes with. If they line up with their 3 back sets and run the ball right at Beechwood, they should win. If they spread it out and throw the ball, they'll struggle. They just don't have any receivers that can get separation.

Dixie needs to work on a few things to become a good team. Can't give away yardage in the kicking game which ultimately did them in against CovCath.

I think Dixie should win but Beechwood is certainly capable.

This may be the toughest game of the week to call.

 

Big question I have is can Dixie's defense stop Beechwood if they get their offense on track.

I like Dixie in this game. Drew Moore will be the best player on the field. I watched most of the Dixie/CovCath game online and Dixie's defense flies to the ball. I will take Dixie by 14pts..

Dixie had to many penalties and turnovers. Beechwood will win.

I'll take Dixie by 10. After watching BW against Lima, they're not going to be as physical as Dixie. They're defensive front is to spread for Dixie no to take advantage of it. Dixie's front four on D will give all the chaos the tigers can handle and with they're RB (Thomas) going down with injury, Slusher ( qb right?) Will have to make quick decisions or tuck and run. The defense is o.k. with either!

Agree with your first sentence. I'd like to see the Colonels win this one but they have GOT to cut down on the silly penalties. They also have to defend the pass better.
