It is very hard to opine on this team this early due to the fact that two of the primary players played significant minutes (both ways) deep into the football playoffs. This is just a guess, but i can imagine the hits have taken a toll and some significant rest may be necessary.

This team has size and basketball players - speed and athleticism will bother them. However, they should have a great season.

What position does he play? What are his strengths?

As far as teams, the top four look right even though I would flip flop Dixie and NCC. As far as players, i would would put Frederick 3. Hall 4. and Moeves in the 9 or 10 spot.

This young man has a really nice game but this is very surprising. The most highly recruited person ever out of a NKY high school in hoops? Not making an opinion but an observation.

Did X make it to see him on Saturday as suggested?

The only way Dixie can win this one is: 1) Torres be a workhorse resulting in Dixie ball control. 2) Dixie - no turnovers 3) Dixie get Barrett the ball in open space. SK more than likely has no one to catch him.

Coach Simpson has done a lot for many young men in that program and should be given credit for helping erase some "old" thought processes at that school. You are smarter than me so read between the lines. Additionally, I am sure he did not leave since they are down this year as they have only been up once or twice in the previous 5 decades.

Did Brent Angel play in this game?

My assumption is most people can shoot at D1. I could be wrong. The difference maker is whether a player can defend. If he is D1, then he must be a 2. Can he guard a D1-2 guard? There is no debate on that. Can he guard a D2 - 2 guard? More likely.

Where is Cam Barrett on the offense side of the ball?

The issue is not whether he can play offense at the next level. The issue is whether he can guard guards at the next level. That is his issue.

Define talent. Meyer is a consistent jumpshot away from being in the top 5. As he can do things many others cannot. Athletically gifted player who defends rebounds and plays above the rim as a point guard. When you say gifted is that a shooter?

Meyer from Dixie should start out season 5-7 and end the season in the top 5. He may be the best athlete in the 9th.
