You must not have been there. Meyer entered down 11 to 2. Went out after Dixie took lead and momentum away from Scott. I believe Dixie intended to play him sparingly.

Scott plays very hard and Fromeyer and staff do a great job. I want to see them play Campbell County as they may be able to beat them. Scott opened up an 11-2 run but Dixie was able to take over mid 1st quarter. Dixie is solid. Bradfield is an athletic big man, while Meyer does it all. They also have a solid shooter and defend you. Spoke to Meyer's dad at the game and he said Hunter has been in a boot for the last 14 days and was released yesterday. He said Hunter closed silverlake last night and opened it up this morning trying to get ready to play.

Without Hamilton, this appears to be a very good win. Newport has certainly lost some steam.

Scott may have "rolled" them but SK is a good team that may find their stride and rhythm. Hawkins is very good, Kelce is good, Kitchens is good. Where they might lack athletes, they have really good basketball players. The Cottrell loss hurts but they can make a run in their region.

Newport can beat you with their energy. That being said, this is a surprise and a good win.

Derick is a very good player.

I believe he led or tied In statistical points, rebounds, assists and steals last year and I would think he is doing that again. He is their best player but they also have very good players in Bradfield, Schreck, and other seniors.

I saw them play 2 games this year (campbell and sk) and he seemed to get the ball as much as anyone. Historically, their coach shares the ball evenly so one person has a tough time from an offensive numbers end. They are 11-2. Sounds like a good problem to have.

How much better would Williamstown be if they didn't lose the point guard transfer to Lloyd? I think he is a very solid player. (not sure of his name)

Beechwood will rebound. Are they better than Holmes and HC? Could they get to Region this year?

Who are the seniors?

The school draws from a very large area. If my memory serves correctly, they did not have attendance problems at the old high school.

Cru appears to be getting better and play very hard. I would think the score is more of a reflection of Dixie's coach playing everyone and Dixie's best player not playing.

Holy cross is missing a point guard. Period. They play hard but turn the ball over in critical situations.

Meyer has been out since second quarter of the fern creek game. I saw in a boot on the Dixie campus Monday. Good to hear he is back this week.

When is Greene back?

Dixie played well in the first half. Meyer was limited in minutes due to twisted ankle in second quarter and second half. Overall, Dixie will compete.

I am sure coach and his staff are putting the right mix on the floor. He is a great coach and that proved out last year. HC had 5 seniors (I believe) last year. Two of them could have been poy candidates. That is very hard to replace. A good rule of thumb that I try to use on here is to not say anything about a kid or a coach that i would not say to the their dad's face or the coach's face.
