Schrand was 3/4 from 3 in first half.

 

Casey guarded him after half and I'm not sure he attempted a shot.

Cole had 20.

At one point mid 3rd quarter it was 28-23.

 

CovCath pressure was impressive and their ball movement is something else.

 

CovCath's Casey Nowak was all up in Nolan Schrand's grill to the point that Schrand was getting a little urinated off with it....a lot of pushing and shoving going on (Nowak picked up 4 fouls in the process), however if you want to negate Nolan from a game, this is what you do. It was real entertaining watching these two go at it.

 

Ty Houston (Holy Cross) is a player and fun to watch, he is only getting better.

 

Fun watching the two BIG boys go against each other, Walters (CC) and Barnes (HC), while the CovCath 7 footer easily outscored the hulking Cross football star, Barnes had a few nasty blocks, including one on Walters.

Agree with LB13: Houston seems to be the best offensive weapon.

Its a shame what's happening at HC this year. Our seniors deserve better than this.

HC could be a very well balanced scoring team. Many players have the ability to score. How the offense is ran is what limits the scoring options.

He continues to execute one part of his plan perfectly: plays his son 28 minutes a game.

WIDE OPEN. YOU SAID IT. once he was gaurded closely, he was done. But yet he was still on the floor, instead of putting someone else out there who may have been able to contribute offensively and defensively.

I said it before and I'll say it again. Holy Cross will continue to lose if the coach keeps thinking his son is the best player on the team and playing him 28+ minutes a game.

CCH looked very limited themselves on offense at times...and I know this is obviously adjusting to their best player being out. But Walter needs to put himself in a position to score every time. He is a MAN in there. This came should have/could have been way worse.
