Hafltime: CC 28-19. 3-pointers: CC 6 (Ruthsatz 3, Vonahndorf 2, Lenihan); HC 4 (Scharnd 3, Houston).

Curious about the double technical in the first half. I believe a HC player shoved a CCH player after a CCH score on the ensuing inbounds. Did the CCH player taunt or say something? I believe both received T's.

Agree on Nowak/Schrand. I believe Schrand got one shot off in the second half and I thought Nowak was called for a couple cheap fouls. Nice defense by him overall.

Schrand and Houston were both shut down in the second half. I think Houston may have wore himself out in the first half, he was beat walking off the floor. HC seems to be very limited when it comes to guard play. Schrand seems to stay very stationary and makes it a lot easier than it should to guard him. HC better find some guard play, or it will be an early exit. They have some nice athletes, just missing someone to handle the ball.

CCH still adjusting to injuries, but they must play better if they are going to beat Cooper!

CCH dominated the Freshman and JV games. First time watching either team play and they have A LOT of nice athletes. Very impressed by Mayer and Thelen on JV, going to be a very good players. Both got a little run in the Varsity game.

The seniors aren't very good though, one attempts to dribble the air out of the ball and others can't score to save their lives, zero senior leadership on this team

What is ur obsession with this kid?? Im assuming u have a child on this team that doesn't get any PT? #5 sure isn't the problem with this team right now, he isn't the one turning the ball over everytime down the court

Please tell me who should play over him?? They don't have anyone better, too many turnovers and he isn't the point guard

Its a shame what's happening at HC this year. Our seniors deserve better than this.

Not sure what you mean. I thought Ryan had a good game plan but not enough horses.

When a team goes into "deny" mode like CCH did on Schrand last night it should open up the floor for the other 4. Other than Houston I didn't see any player who could make CCH pay for opening up the floor. They tried bringing Barnes out top with the ball when Walter was guarding him and having him penetrate. Not in his skill set. Not his game. I get why they tried but it didn't work. Same for Williams. Even though he's the PG ...not his game. If anyone could have killed CCH off of pentration it would then force Schrand's defender to come off to help which would free him up. Not an option last night.

I'll also say Ryan didn't force the offense to run through his son.

I'd ask you guys to take a long, hard look at what options there are. Against a strong defensive team like CCH HC doesn't have many good options.

Holy cross is missing a point guard. Period. They play hard but turn the ball over in critical situations.

Colonels shot 45% overall

37.5 from 3

11/12 from the line

Your right number 5 isn't the problem. And if your referring to me with your post, I never said he was. The problem is his father thinks he is the best player they have. It's obvious or he wouldn't play so much. Schrand subs everyone in and out first three quarters, except his son. Then when he does take him out for a minute, he still puts the wrong people on the floor. I'll agree they have problems with gaurds turning over the ball. Every kid on that team is on edge when they go on the floor because they get yanked for making a mistake. Except for number 5, he doesn't get pulled for making mistakes. Hard to play when all you think about is if you screw up your coming out and don't get a chance to play thru it. And that's not my opinion, that's what the kids tell me.

And yes #5 does turn the ball over. And he doesn't move on offense as stated by someone else. We will never know how this team could play without him, because he's never off the floor long enough to know.

Please tell me who should play over him?? They don't have anyone better, too many turnovers and he isn't the point guard

Really? He's a good shooter when wide open and That can be useful at times. Other than that there are many kids on The team that are better basketball players.

I saw a lot of kids make mistakes without getting yanked.
