Was able to watch some teams today at Lexington Catholic throughout the day. Adair County defeated Graves County 55-54 Madison Southern won big over Dunbar and Shelby County GRC beat PRP by single digits Grant County defeated PRP Adair County defeated Lincoln County 78-76 North Laurel defeated Adair County 59-44. Adair led that one at half but it was their third game to North Laurel's first game. Lexington Catholic defeated Madison Central by around 30, then Green County by 25 as well.

The 29 year old Tinsley was an assistant for Edmonson last season and has also made assistant coaching and middle school coaching stops at Glasgow, Logan County and Grayson County. His dad is former head coach John Tinsley and his brother Ryne is the new head coach at Apollo

Have heard the Epps situation has been in the works for a bit now.

Keith Adkins has taken the job at Mercer County which means this job is now open. Look for Anthony Epps the former Campbellsville coach to be a front runner for this one.

He is not a flashy High school coaching name yet but for NAIA he's had 11 20 win seasons and was 3 time coach of the year in the mid south conference. Could not do much better if you are Mercer.

Was coach at Life University in Georgia for 2 seasons. Coached at Lindsey Wilson College for 2 seasons and now been coach at Campbellsville High School the last 3 seasons winning 2 district championships.

I have a source who has said Adkins has accepted the job. We will see if they are right but that's what I am hearing.

Adkins has been very good at 1A school Campbellsville winning 2 district championships in 3 seasons with a talent pool that pales in the comparison of what Mercer County would give. He has had to play a slower pace and win games in the 40's/50's with Campbellsville due to the talent but in college his teams played much faster.

Johnson is a Bardstown High School alumni and played 4 years at Brescia from 2014-2018. He has been an assistant coach for Bardstown the past few seasons and also helps coach with the Moss Elite AAU program.

Thomas is a 2004 graduate of Marion County and was previously the head coach at Lebanon Middle School and longtime assistant coach for the boys high school team.

Cooper takes over after 2 separate stints at his hometown school Garrard County

Word is Russell County has their coach just has not been officially announced yet.

One big downside to Russell County job now is the addition to Monroe County in that district last year making it a 5 team district. Now you have Cumberland Co. who is up and down, Metcalfe who has been very solid the last 4-5 years, Clinton is down from normal but always solid, and then now Monroe who joined the district last year and was runner up.

Heard longtime Marion assistant Matthew Thomas, and former UK player and high school head coach Dale Brown as names for this one.

Have heard a couple possible candidates. Last years freshman coach Eric Bennett who also was the former middle school coach. Also possibly a current 12th region head coach.

Believe admin played a role more so in this one.

Jordan Cooper-Livers is out as coach after 4 seasons finishing with a 48-61 record.

Larue holds off Central Hardin in a tight game the whole way. They will meet Washington County in Sunday's semifinal.

Washington County avenges their early season loss to Taylor County and advances to the semifinals for the second time in in three years. They will meet Larue County on Sunday afternoon.
