Adair came out looking like they did at the end of last season. You could tell the loss to Cumberland was the wake up call they needed and had them refocused. They took Taylor County's Davier White out of anything he wanted to do and their offense got anything it wanted. If they play like they did Friday it'll be hard for anyone in the region to beat them. Loy was the best player on the court and their was quiet a few really good players out there including Cochran, Lyons and White.

Adair rolled last night by 30 plus over Taylor County and showed no signs of slowing down today vs Bullitt East. Believe Tuesday nights upset loss to the hands of Cumberland County may of woke up the defending 5th region champs. 2026 guard Dawson Gilbert hit 9 three pointers in this game and led the way with 29 points.

Adair just beat Boyd without 2 starters this past Saturday in a scrimmage

Tuesdays Bethlehem and Taylor game should be a good one. Look for Barren and Green to be closer than people think too with the way Coach Cunningham at Barren tries to play. The Adair vs Taylor game Friday is a big one as not only is it a district game but it counts for the first round of the 2A sectional tournament. As always their is normally bad blood between the 2 teams and it'll be Coach Kays first game as head coach for the rivalry, while Adair should have a bad taste in their mouth after last seasons district final loss at Taylor.

Adair defeated North Hardin 99-88 in a scrimmage today. Indians had 4 players with 16 points or more and 5 in double figures. North Hardin def looks better than a lot think as they hit 15 3 pointers. Adair hit 11 3's Adair pressed about the entire game so probably not how they would play in a normal game that counted.

Saw Green County from the 5th region defeated Eastern in a scrimmage yesterday 78-58. Precious Sam is no longer with Eastern either. So did Eastern not look like the 4th ranked preseason team in the region during this game?

yes. watched some of this on NFHS. James kid for Green is really good athlete and driver reminds me a lot of Boykins from North Hardin last year. The other new kid that's around 6'7 was okay but didn't move the needle. Definitely wants to play more on the perimeter than inside. Lincoln was also forced to play a pace that isn't to their strengths. In a actual game that counts Coach Jackson wouldn't of let it be as much of a track meet don't think.

Lincoln lost a close one to Green County last night. Not sure on final score.

Solid rankings. Will add you are forgetting Taylor County added 2027 6'5 transfer Davier White from Evangel Christian he averaged around 10 ppg for them last season and is one of the top 5 sophomores in the state. So he should be an impact player in the 5th.

This is a rematch from last years first round of the playoffs where Union County was victorious, though this time it will be a trip to the final 8 of 3A on the line. 1 seed Union County took care of Glasgow 45-16 last Friday, while 2 seed Adair easily handled McClean County 41-0. Adair is led by their big 3 offensive trio of QB Easton Jessie, RB Lane Grant, and WR Solomon Stonebraker who all had big first round games. Union has the leading rusher in 3A in Jaron Johnson who plays both RB and QB at times. Look for this to be a high scoring game with some explosive plays. Adair County will be attempting to make it to round 3 of the playoffs for the first time in school history.

Adair County wins just their 3rd playoff game in school history and they rolled in this one from the start. QB Easton Jessie had 199 yards passing with 2TDS, WR Solomon Stonebraker had 99 yards receiving with a TD, and RB Lane Grant had 90 yards rushing with a TD and also an 80 yard pick 6. The Indians defense was awesome as well as they shut down the heavy McClean rushing attack. Indians will have a rematch of last years playoff game as they head to #1 Seed Union County next week and look for their first ever win in the second round.

These 2 will square off in Columbia for the first round of the 3A playoffs this week with Adair coming in as the 2 seed in district 2 and McClean the 3 seed in district 1. This will be the first home playoff game for Adair since 2016. The Indians are led by SR RB Lane Grant who broke the all time record in rushing for the school last week with over 4000 yards in his career, they also have Solomon Stonebraker who is now the all time receiving leader in school history doing that in just 2 seasons. McClean is led by Aden Bolden at RB who has rushed for 1400 yards and 13 TDS. McClean is a run heavy team and only average 27 yards per game passing. Adair is a balanced offense for the most part. The winner of this game will meet the winner of 1 seed Union County and 4 seed Glasgow in round 2.

Cats Pause yearbook has released their preseason rankings for the 5th region. 1. Adair County 2. Larue County 3. Bethlehem 4. Taylor County 5. Green County 6. North Hardin 7. Bardstown 8. Central Hardin 9. Elizabethtown 10. Caverna Mind you these rankings were likely pre-transfers for some of these schools such as Green County who added two high caliber out of state players. Also to me Caverna is way too low in this as they have 4 of 5 starters back including Jaylin Craine who has D1 offers at point guard. Etown lost everything from last season so cannot see them being in the top 10.

Adair will also be playing at Martin County in the Zip Zone Classic against Boyd County on November 30th.

2027 guard Tylan Spaulding who had moved to Taylor County over the summer from Bardstown is now enrolled back at Bardstown. Also another move that was missed from back around when school started is 2026 guard Jalen Gribbins who was a starter for Taylor County last season has enrolled cross town at Campbellsville.

Adair County will be scrimmaging November 27th at home vs North Hardin and again November 30th at the Zip Zone Classic in Martin County where they will face Boyd County.

Adair comes in after a bye week and a loss to Hart County the week before that, with a win here though they should be locked in to the #2 seed in the district and a home playoff game. Butler County has currently not won a district game yet. Butler tends to heavily rely on the pass which should be a benefit to Adair County as they have some athletic DB's.
