Adair comes in after a bye week and a loss to Hart County the week before that, with a win here though they should be locked in to the #2 seed in the district and a home playoff game. Butler County has currently not won a district game yet. Butler tends to heavily rely on the pass which should be a benefit to Adair County as they have some athletic DB's.

Adair County wins this one easily. Being the 2 seed (or 1, in Hart's case) should make for a very winnable first round game. It will be interesting to see who wins the Hancock/Union game this week, which should determine the 1- and 2-seeds in the opposite district and where Adair would likely play on the road in the second round. Having seen the Indians play, I think they stand a very good chance of advancing to the third round this year.

Bears are still in search of their first win, tough inaugural season for the Josh Robins era in Morgantown. They won’t find a win in this one either, maybe they can beat their rival Ohio County to close the year and have something to go into the off season happy about. Butler County will be having SR night, and although the record doesn’t show it they do have some good players from this graduating class, including Garrett Phelps who is capable of making some plays from the QB position through the air and on the ground.

Butler County was dealt a tough district hand this time around: Hart, Adair, Glasgow, and Franklin-Simpson are all solid programs right now, while at the same time the Bears were dipping just a bit.

I agree, but even when they had their time (Rex Henderson) they were handcuffed in a district with Ocath and a region with Mayfield. Nothing new to the Bears to essentially be playing for the 2 seed yearly but it’s been pretty bad for the past 6 years regardless of where they have been. I suppose if the basketball team continues to excel football will just be on the back burner, and I don’t believe that is a problem to the community honestly. Can’t have it all!
