Please list any scrimmages that you know of for the region.  I know Somerset is hosting an event Sat. Nov. 16th where four regional teams will scrimmage. 

• 11:00 (DCA vs. Pineville)
• 1:30 (Rockcastle Co. vs. Letcher County Central)
• 4:00 (Somerset vs. Anderson Co.)
• 6:30 (Garrard Co. vs. Rowan Co.)

Any reports on these games?  The only thing I’ve heard was that DCA won by 12 or so but didn’t play that well.

I'm not sure what the final was.  Pineville is a solid club, and it was a very scrappy contest.  DCA struggled to score it, but played well defensively in a mix between zone and man.  DCA will continue to improve as their role players do.  They started the Perez kid at off guard, and seems to be decently skilled but hasn't played a ton of ball.  I was impressed with Rock without Craig.  They beat Letcher Central by 6 in a physical contest.  They are a big physical team, and can really mix it up on the glass and defensively.  Travis Rogers (PG) continues to improve as a player.  Anderson Co. beat Somerset by 12 or so.  Somerset still without the football guys, and Absher was out with an injury today.  They also struggled to score, but competed fairly well on the defensive end.  Grundy played well, but needs to be more of a secondary threat. Garrard was tied with Rowan Co. when I left.  Jayden Noe had a really solid first half.  He can shoot the ball very well.

I can see what you mean about DCA struggling to score.  I think their top 3 are as good as any in the region but I'm not sure what kind of offense would work best with that bunch.  They really need a good outside shooter or two.  What kind of defense did Pineville play against them?

Physical M2M.  It was a very physical scrimmage. 

DCA ran majority BS stuff with Boyd coming off.  They Post Sealed some with the bigs as well.

This was a nice event at SHS, I was able to catch a couple games. I liked what I was able to see out of Rockcastle County as well as Garrard County as they both exceeded my expectations.

I'd like to see Garrard Co. with the addition from Lincoln Co.  I think they will be improved for sure.  Noe is probably one of the more underrated players in the region.  Just to think when they were in middle school, Noe (GC), Quisenberry (Boyle Co.), Boyd (DCA) and Fugate (Lincoln Co.) were all in the feeder program.  Talk about a backcourt!

DCA plays on the 30th at South Laurel.  Not completely sure on the opponent, it may be Knox Central.

Correct.  Somerset, Southwestern and Mercer also play in this event.

I believe Lincoln Co. plays @ Green Co. tonight in a traditional scrimmage.

If you hear that any of these events are being streamed please let us know.  I was able to watch the DCA/Pineville game on HUDL.

HUDLTV APP is the platform SL uses to stream games.

I checked with the guys from WPBK and they aren't streaming the Lincoln game tonight.
