My wife is in the shower as we speak to meet him at the Dr's office to get cleared for practice today. Needless to say, he's pretty pumped with the thought of playing this Friday. I think he will be "shot out of a cannon" in the first Offensive series.

Chiz is 5'9" 195 dowds is prob 6' 195ish. I know what your thinking, but watch their highlights. I'd bet they would both challenge anyone for playing time on the next level. Any level. Can't speak for Dowds, but Chiz carrys a 4.0 GPA. I spoke to both Ohio and EKU coaches about him. They asked my opinion. I told them they're missing the boat. Also told them Chiz would bump their Team GPA by .5 the second he'd sign a letter if intent, lol

Sounds like Dowds is getting the same treatment as Chisholm. Schools are looking past obvious and apparent talent. Unfortunate.

Ryle run game > Conner. Ryle D in the last 6 quarters gave up 0 pts (Henry Clay TD was special teams) injuries on O and D are healing. Game is at Ryle so they won't have the netrulizing conditions. Someone said Conners QB was throwing ducks. Not gonna predict a score but it sounds like Ryle is trending better than Conner.

With all due respect, I have to both agree with you and disagree with you. I played OL in HS and DL in College before the nice field turf days. Agree, yes on the leverage. Disagree in that it depends on the blocking scheme. When we had slop to play in, coaches would call a lot of counters, trap and sweeps where some OL would pull. Always would result in pancake blocks and huge holes. Conversely as a DLineman I would get pancaked the same way in slop on similar plays. But in straight zone blocking you are absolutely correct.

I just have to get this off my chest. A win is a win is a win. That's it. Coaches don't read into them, players don't read into them. Only us arm chair coaches/players who over analyze everything. I get it, give your opinions, we're all entitled to them. But really, unless we watch every game played every Friday, our opionions, still valid, can certainly be taken with grains of salt. I haven't met a coach or a player that was unhappy about a W. Margin of Victories only matter in College. Not High School. Sorry for the rant, happy Saturday Folks : )

Chisholm 18 carries 202 yds, 4 TD's 1 catch for 25 yds 1 TD. I think that makes 10 TD's this season.

I won't hurt getting their starting left tackle and tight end back as well.

So Conner beats Boone by 1 TD last week and automatically they are ranked in some circles Top 10 in 6A. If Ryle does the same thing, will they get the respect that Conner did? If Ryle does win and win's by 1 TD, they will get blasted. Just watch.

I'm absolutely fine with everyone sleeping on Ryle. Let them become an afterthought. I know I'm partial, but the Offense WILL correct itself. The passing game WILL get better. I can tell you for certain that this Defense will punch people in the mouth. Oh by the way, injuries are healing nicely and two beasts carrying the ball. Keep sleeping, more rest is good for everybody.

Sounds like a question for ESPNU. I highly doubt Ryle would turn down any opportunity. I'm sure it's a decent payday for Ryle and the district.

If I recall this was scheduled after St X Cincy backed out of the Ryle match up. Coaches had to schedule someone. Cathedral doesn't have a home field so they play the whole season on the road. This happens to be Ryle's homecoming too. It will certainly be interesting. Maybe introducing the homecoming court at halftime will take eveyones attention off the scoreboard : )

I have no idea why Conner is ranked 11. I have a feeling they couldn't find a top 10 so they just threw Conner in there. Feel Free to call it a Top 9

Multiple 2018 D1 players on Cathedral. Apparently the same goes for the 2019 kids as well. There are 2 Toledo commits going against each other. That will be neat. They talk mulitiple times a week with the other 2018 Toledo commits. They plan on meeting at midfield before and after the game.

I couldn't agree with this more. The coaches can only lead a "Horse to the water" He cant make them drink. I am convinced if a player is willing to do more outside of normal practice, weights and training at school. They can improve vastly. Outside training and summer camps can create next level athletes.

If this is the case and he wasn't there to scout/spy, this entire post is moot. Also kinda funny. Leave it up to the peeps from Union to jump to conclusions. And I'm from Union. Kinda typical for both schools in Union : )

I agree, Line backers need to be a bit more patient. DB Justin Selby had to step up against Cov Cath and make a bunch of tackles that the LB's missed. Basically had to come up and play LB as the play was progressing. That makes it an easy play call to catch the entire defense anticipating run and go deep. However, I still think the defense is ahead of the Offense still.

Is Guru manning the drone I see buzzing around Ryle from time to time : )

Can some give their opinion on why SK doesn't schedule Cov Cath more often ?? Would be a great game. I'd go to it.

I think he may be referring to the fact that Coach Warner isn't the coach at Ryle for whatever reason and that the he hopes the principal took note of the impact he had on coaching the team to a W. I can say that Coach Warner still supports the Ryle team in a positive way. Heck, his kids will be going to school there some day. My son never played for him, but he has offered any assistance he could provide with him on playing next level football. A great guy.
