  1. Ryle has a upcoming senior Linebacker that has been part of this program for the past few years. Eventhough the cost is $850, there are many opportunities that he has benefitted from. He has played on the USA National team the past two years where they travel down to Dallas and play at AT&T Stadium where the Cowboys play. They practice for a week and play other teams from Canada. As a result of this and his ability he has had exposure to numerous D1, D2 and D3 schools. I know his parents and they were very much part of this program and I'm sure will tell you it was worth the effort and expense.
  2. Hahaha, UK wrote 5 but listed 6. Clutch wrote 5 and listed 6 and mentioned 7. Hey, I can't count either. What I can count is how much time I wasted on BGP : )
  3. I was talking with one of the the Ryle parents, he said the Bigs were getting after it. Could hear the smacking and punching from the stands. Good stuff.
  4. Ryle had 5 players attend. Besides Tanner, Jake Chisholm (RB 2018), Justin Selby (DB 2018), Jackson High (LB 2017) and Cooper Scherrer (DB 2017) participated. Parker Bisek (OL 2018) was an alternate, last minute addition due to someone dropping out. His father screwed up and didn't check his emails until 2:00 am Saturday morning. So Parker will be attending the Chicago Regional this weekend.
  5. From what I understand, at each regional combine kids (all positions) are awarded a golden ticket (invite to finals) Then there are still spots left open in the finals on kids that will get further evaluated. So I think he still has a shot the finals even though he didn't get a golden ticket.
  6. I don't know him, but I've seen him play. Impressive athlete regardless. Reading all of this, my head is spinning. But I'm not that bright. Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm reading he is currently in the 2018 graduation class. If he turned 17 on 11/15, he will turn 18 on 11/16, then turn 19 on 11/17, then 20 on 11/18. He will graduate on 5/18 and be 20 years old? Was he held back twice? Again, forgive me, I'm not too bright and may be confusing matters more.
  7. Just off the top of my head, 7 starters returning on Off and 5 starters returning on Def
  8. Ryle LOI signings today: Tyler Selby - Georgetown Bailey Wallace - Mt St Joes Bryant Meihaus - Union College
  9. Tanner had prioritized his choices First Acedemically (quality school), second Coaching, thirdly being the opportunity to play/compete. At least this is what his father told me. Didn't expect anything out of any of the schools except these three items. WMU fits all three. Top 100 Nationally school, coaches are quality and young. Third is the opportunity to compete. Tanner is the highest ranked 2017 commit on the team. 2nd, 2017 QB to commit. So he will have an opportunity to compete. Believe it or not, WMU currently leads the country in 2017 commits. So it appears they are getting what they want early. Kalamazoo is only 5 hours away. That's not too far.
  10. At Ryles' 7v7 tourney last summer, I thought Johnston was the 2nd best Highlands QB out there. Just my opinion. 7v7 is not game situations and Gosney may be more mobile. But the kid impressed me.
  11. Yes, there was a tweet that he made the finals, it appears it was corrected in that he made the final group in Atlanta today. 247 reported that he looked good in the final group. A selection to the finals is yet to be determined.
  12. That's the plan, spotless uniform : )
  13. I played D3 years ago, our QB that year was drafted by the Steelers, late rounds. His passes didn't have the zip or the audibile "whistle" that Morgan's passes had when he was in 8th grade, the first time I saw him throw. I don't claim to be an expert at all, but the kid has all the tangibles, but what impresses me the most are his intangibles. Leadership, coachable, taking ownership. Many mentions of the dropped balls. Morgan would pat himself on the chest and say "my bad", I'll get you next time. Go ahead and question whether he is a top talent, but there is will be a college team that will get a very good talent and a better kid. Just my opinion, biased as it may be, but my opinion nonetheless.
  14. You're not kidding. Krogers owes us a debt of gratitude : )
  15. Many teams tried to shadow him and take his threat away, he burnt a bunch of them. Obviously SK did the best job on him.
  16. Coach Engler and Tanner Morgan like to spread the love out there. Running Backs will get some catches. I look for Aaron O'hara to have a bunch more touches. A couple of Soph's Easton Pilyer and Zach Rytlewski taking over for Seniors Jaret Pogliano and Grant Beagle. Morgan will break 10,000 career yards this year. Plenty of boys will be catching the ball.
  17. Doug Monaghan (sp?) ASAP in Covington is great for speed and agility. He is a great trainer. 4 year starter at Colrain, then 4 year starter at UC. He is not a nutritionist, but knows quite a bit about the right way to eat and train. His sessions are 30 minutes of footwork, then 30 minutes of lifting. His lifting routines are all focused on avoiding injury and developing explosiveness. Very informed guy. I can't speak enough for what he has done for my son who has been going to him for a couple years know. Some pretty outstanding NKY athletes have described his workouts as 60 minutes of hell. Great for all sports.
  18. Thanks for the Prop's for Parker. He gave up bball this year to work out and put on some size. Although I wanted him to continue to play bball to maintain athleticism, it was his choice. He has held up his end of the bargain so far by working out hard, ASAP 3 days a week, eating. Getting stornger, adding weight and getting faster. Ran a 4.82 for coaches at Ryle, then ran a 5.0 at Best of the midwest in Indy. I hate that he proved me wrong about giving up Bball : ) But one thing is for certain, although he performed will on the drill work in Indy, but was undersized at 260. The boy needs to eat more Peanut Butter : ) Again, its fun watching him and Colton Williams progress, since they played bball together as kids.
  19. Both those boys Colton and Zach are great kids as well. Their families are good people as well.
  20. Ryan Princepata 6'0" 260 started for Ryle as a Soph, very strong, athletic O Lineman. Will be a strong Guard or Center for the Raiders.
  21. My son used to play Bball with Colton and Zach Kelch from SK when they were younger. Between the 3 of them they had some serious size on that team as youngsters : ) It's fun watching them develop into high school athletes.
  22. I would have to agree with you 100 percent on this. Swallow the whistle. Reward the kid who stole the pass and played great D, don't reward the team that turned it over and give them the charge call on the other side of the floor. If it was questionable, swallow the whistle.
  23. Fingers, and toes crossed that England is a Raider this year and gets moved up with the Varsity : )
  24. Tanner Morgan QB Ryle Chase Ross OL Ryle
