Play happened with under a minute remaining.

That is the same thing I had been seeing on twitter, only it was not just Ryle fans.

The refs called a charge on the Ryle player. I thought it was a good call. Padgett was there and #15 ran right into Padgett's chest. Big play for the Senior guard.

 

The refs let them play tonight...overall they missed calls on both sides. One big one that could have went Ryles way at the end was a tipped pass, I thought it went off the Cougars but the ref called it off Ryle.

 

Should be a great atmosphere on Friday night for Cooper vs Conner.

I read that Michael Scott had 28 points.

Kyler has probably taken over 30 charges at the varsity level for Conner, none bigger than the one tonight.

Congrats to the Cougars. Survive and advance never rang truer than this evening. Scott was fabulous tonight. He gets to the rim as well as anyone in the 9th.

Everyone has an opinion on the play but from someone that has no dog in the fight it was not a charge. The Ryle player gave the Euro step and Padgett slid to his right and fell back. Should have been a block or swallow the whistle. Either way, congrats to Conner and like someone mentioned, Friday should be a dandy

Not necessarily, other players have stepped up. However, after last nights Ryle vs Conner game, not sure if anyone can escape with a win but Conner. Jags better pray they get better officiating against Conner Friday night:rolleyes:

The charge call in question was a bang-bang play. There's going to be controversy on such a pivotal call that late in the game, especially when the refs confer for a few seconds before making the call.

 

If you're a Conner fan, it was a charge. If you are a Ryle fan, it was a block. I thought it was a charge in real-time, but in full disclosure it was close.
