You can look to the LexCath game to emulate what they did on offense against CovCath, but the problem with that is Beau Allen isn't your quarterback.

This one will be closer than expected. BG put up a fight against Trinity, even tied it at one point. They are a formidable opponent. I still expect the Colonels to win handily, but definitely not to the same extent as the past 4 games.

Who will be the home team next week? Or is that not determined yet?

No doubt Boyle County is the best team in Kentucky. I'd argue CovCath is close 2nd though.

In my experience I began to dread David Cecil Memorial Stadium as a CovCath student because of all the bad games I saw. I didn't see a single game where CovCath didn't lose by less than 14. But despite that I've always had lot's of fun memories there. It's a fun place and always has lots of energy. I can't think of any tougher or intimidating place for a road team to play than Highland's stadium.

Not my poll to vote in but I did it anyway out of habit. I guess if I were a Ryle fan I would say yes.

Gotta take chances against Highlands.

I assume this bracket from MaxPreps is incorrect? It has CovCath facing FD in the 3rd round. 2

How many injuries did LexCath sustain since that game? I remember there being a lot of injuries in the CovCath game. They don't seem like the same team they were at the beginning of the season. Their defense looked a lot more competent early on as well. They went from beating Pulaski County and DeSales to losing to LCA and having to beat Tates Creek in a 50 point shootout. I will say however that their offense doesn't seem to be any less potent and seems to be the same as early on.

I don't mean to gloat but CovCath did not beat an "average La Salle team". That notion should have ended after they beat St. Xavier.

The LexCath defense has actually given the offense a few opportunities but they've just not taken advantage of them.

LexCath's tackling is awful. Beau Allen is not to blame for losing any of the games they've played imo.

I expect Beau Allen to make this game fun. 45-38 FD.

Always good to get a shutout on a rival but disappointing offensive performance from CovCath, but one that was to be expected because of the intensity of this rivalry.

La Salle is currently up against St. Xavier 16-7. La Salle doesn't look overrated.

I don't think CovCath will ever forgive Highlands for those 15 games XD

Covington Catholic is currently ranked #1 in the state on Calpreps. I don't personally think CovCath is better than Male, and I doubt many do but I guess that win over LaSalle was impressive enough to put them at the top.
