? I love this game it's a great opportunity for kids from this area to showcase their talents one more time before playing at the next level or never playing again. Kids in this area of the state often get overlooked for games like the Border Bowl and Best in the Bluegrass. They often get overlooked on the all-state teams as well, even moreso than the mountains and eastern KY. Give them their turn in the limelight.

Congrats to Savannah as she is now the All-Time leading scorer for Lady Lions basketball. This also means that she has scored more points than anyone to ever wear a Lewis County uniform, boys included. Again, congrats Savannah!!

I remember seeing him as a middle school kid on the varsity floor and thinking he could hold his own with the older guys. I agree he's grown to be much bigger than I thought he would and doesn't get the statewide recognition he deserves at all.

Front lines and consistency from the QB position will be the Lions biggest question marks heading into this offseason. Senior to be Tommy Parks showed some flashes of being able to to be productive in the passing game (93 yard TD pass vs Fleming), but has proven time and time again he panics when defenses pressure him. Seniors Kirk Everman (RB/LB), Andrew Swingler (DE/TE) and Austin Evans (RB/DB) will be relied on heavy for the Lions to be successful.

Really wish Lewis and Mason would have kept the series going. Even if one sided, it's a fun rivalry to play and would better prepare the Lions for the postseason.

Other schools go through these type seasons all the time. I don't see people getting on Riverside Christian or Rose Hill (no disrespect intended) threads saying they feel bad for those kids. Yes, it sucks but I'm not going to feel bad for them because they're always good and they happen to not be good this year. If anything say you feel sorry for all kids that have to go through these type seasons, because it happens other places a lot more often than at Ashland.

As a whole the B1G is considerably weaker top to bottom. Yes, this year their best team was better than the SEC's best team. Is the SEC the best conference in basketball because UK is the best team in the country?

No offense, but I seen GRC at the Rowan County Holiday Classic (or whatever they called it) against Johnson Central and was not that impressed. They're a good team, and would probably win the 16th or be right there with Boyd and Rowan if they were in our region. But the team I saw in December is lightyears away from Top 20 in the state.
