At first I thought it might be money. But after thinking about it might be they just want people in the stands. If your senior parents are on the field and there are no visitors, you're walking across to empty bleachers. Closer to pendleton might help with that?

Everything in this thread is speculation. I don't think there are any comments from the Cov Cath group who might be more informed than any of us. I think they are fairly beat up and trying to heal. When they do they would be trouble for most teams.

Some of the Bellevue players are TOUGH! I think that is the difference between these 2 teams.

I didn't say anything like you are suggesting. All I'm saying is that I seriously doubt Mayfield or Pikeville could beat Dixie as you said in post #36.

Bellevue not in top 15? We will find out Friday, but I think they will beat Ludlow by several TDs!

Beechwood says it is a JV game not freshman game.

Have you seen Dixie play? The are big, strong and have some speed.

I think Frankfort is in the bottom 16 of boys enrollment and they have done quite well for themselves!

Might be hard to compare games because the weather in NKY last Friday for NCC/Newport was pretty bad.

I was told McGinnis. Don't think Dressman dressed for the game.

Dressman threw a pass on 3rd down and immediately grabbed his arm. On 4th down CCH direct snapped to McGinnis and he went around the right end and zig zagged his way 50 yards to the endzone. Cov Cath never got the ball back after that. The announcers on TV said they put ice on Dressmans arm and wrapped with cellophane. I would say taking McGinnis away as a running back and receiver takes something away from their offense as well.

correct on #1 QB Wagner. #2 QB Dressman went down late in the 4th quarter vs Beechwood. FYI Dressman was 12/17 143 yards 2 TDs vs Beechwood in 2013. The 4th quarter TD was scored on a direct snap to McGinnis. Cov Cath did not use Hentz at QB vs Ryle. They moved McGinnis to QB for the Ryle game. I think defensive back Drew DeMarsh also missed the ryle game. I don't see any stats for him. He also got a a concussion vs Beechwood but played most of the game. Pretty tough player so that probably hurt on defense.

He graduated. New kid had over 1700 yards going into the Beechwood game. He throws the ball well but not the running threat the other guy was.

Bellevue by several TDs!

Not sure this happens under Rash, heard it happened under Yeagle though. Hate to break it to you but not every kid on BW football team is a stud or even athletic! Some don't weigh much over 100lbs. IMO there should be games or times in games when like talent is on the field vs each other. Under 2 minutes to go and running wishbone with fully developed seniors vs some in this group is a mismatch. How do those 4-5 guys at the bottom of Bellevue's roster get field time to get better? I think BW and most teams don't hit during the week. Certainly no tackling. Everything is skill development and run through the plays.

Not so sure about the timing of the running clock. I think playing on grass will slow the Tigers down. It is supposed to rain every day this week through Thursday so I expect the field to be wet. Since there aren't any JV games left on the schedule I doubt BW coaches try to get to running by going for 2 on 5th score.

Why do you say it like it is a bad thing? Hopefully 2 NKY teams play each other in the 3rd round and the winner moves on. If that is the case, that winner will have earned it. I hope one of the NKY 6A teams makes it to BG even if it is SK. Meade did it that way last year and the championship game was a close one.
