Beechwood opened district play with a one sided win over their primary district rival Bellevue. The Tigers enter this game with a record of 5-2. Dayton opened district play versus 1A #15 Ludlow and played the Panthers tough, losing by a score of 27-22.

Beechwood has not a lost a 1A district game in the 6 class era. Two years ago, when Beechwood last visited Dayton, the Greendevils put a bit of a scare into the Tigers. Dayton was leading that game at halftime. Beechwood came out in the 3rd quarter and quickly took control of the game to put the Greendevils away, winning by a final score of 54-20. Dayton's stadium is one of those old WPA built concrete stadiums with a lot of character and not much room around the sidelines.

Can the Greendevils stir up another batch of home field energy versus the Tigers? Or are the Tigers just too much for the Greendevils?

I'd love to see Dayton compete; no way it's happening though. Dayton is doing the best with what they have, but there's far too much separation between them. Not to mention, Beechwood has looked a lot tougher in comparison to the past few seasons.

Yeah, as others have posted ... this one won't be close. I'll go with running clock at 8:17 of the second quarter. Not being disrespectful ... just livening the thread up and making the lopsided score prediction in a different way.

Not so sure about the timing of the running clock. I think playing on grass will slow the Tigers down. It is supposed to rain every day this week through Thursday so I expect the field to be wet. Since there aren't any JV games left on the schedule I doubt BW coaches try to get to running by going for 2 on 5th score.
