Was informed last night that it looks like Walton Freshman might play Beechwood on Monday Oct 27th. Walton's last 2 remaining opponents cancelled on them. Hopefully this gets confirmed. Walton Freshman have not lost a game this year.

 

I was at the Cov Cath vs. Beechwood game. Beechwood is a tough team. Should be a good game.

Beechwood says it is a JV game not freshman game.

Would be a JV game. WV does not have a Freshman team. Walton's team is mad eup of mostly Freshman and Sophmores. I think that ther is 1 junior that sometimes plays with them. This game will be a big test for WV that is for sure. I am sure that Beechwood will have some very good football players in their Freshman and Sophmore classes.

It will do WV's JV team good to go up against a quality football school such as Beechwood.

Beechwood JV games have been hit and miss....I think they have played 5 games with wins against NCC, Conner. Losses to Scott and Dixie. Another Conner game was cancelled because of the field conditions, and the Cov Cath game was cancelled at halftime because of weather. I think they play Cooper this Saturday and Walton Verona next weekend and that will probably be it for JV.

Beechwood plays mostly Sophomores, and occasional Freshman kicker and usually 2 or 3 Juniors. They are developing a first year QB who is a Sophomore with lots of athletic ability and have a better than average running attack when all are healthy. Defense plays tough against the run. Most of the Juniors get varsity reps as well as a few of the sophomores. They usually dress 17-19 kids for JV

Could be a tough for for Colton Catlett's defense with a talented QB and I'm sure Backs. Haven't seen a whole bunch of WV or Beechwood, but seen a talented QB from BWood and nothing but great things from Catlett. should be fun!

Beechwood's QB Braden Burch is a talented player for sure.
