I see this team being as good as last year. Agreed that the pass game is a question mark (only because of the proven players that left) but I think what Mayfield has to utilize there they will be fine. I would add another kid for Mayfield in that mix Soph Avery Bacon, 6'3" about 190. Great hands like his brother Marshall Bacon is the word but is currently playing on the Defense I think which could change I suppose. The Defense stays as tough or tougher than last year which is scary. I smell the burgers cooking in the endzone already.

I didn't say the title was tainted, Mayfield slayed every team thrown at them and every bad call thrown at them to win #12. I said the thread was tainted. Please quote me in the opening remark on the thread where a question was asked...the opening statement guides the discussion.

This thread wasn't started as a question. It was started as a statement of fact with exclamation marks from the Administrator. That hardly qualifies as an unbiased opening remark asking for legitimate discussion. This issue was tainted from the opening remark. Furthermore, the thread that was started about the 2A Final game and score contained the same statement about the punt. Then the follow up post immediately started discussing the call and not the game. So we have two threads dedicated to this subject.....:ohbrother:?:ohbrother:

Gotta say this was an irresponsible thread to even start. Guru is a hater for sure. This was called a touchdown by the officials who were assigned to the game. The hit on Kennemore was clearly targeting and changed the trajectory of the game...nobody stared a thread. The kid for NCC that picked up the yellow flag and threw it back over the head of the ref was a missed call and would have changed the trajectory of the game...no thread stared. The 'excessive celebration" call in the McCracken game cost Mayfield the game and a perfect season and was a ridiculous call....no thread started....I could go on and on. This was the call on the field. live with it. The better team won and has won all year. I know that everyone (not a fan) is tired of Mayfield being in BG. This kids didn't make the call, the refs made the call. Delete this thread an move on. Its embarrassing.

By far the largest difference in offensive points margin is the 2A game...interesting. That's is even with Mayfield playing 7 teams in the top 10 in their respective classes and winning them all but one in OT

Maybe the posters here underestimate the NCC D, but the coaches and players don't and I can promise you that with the effort that has been put in thus far on practice this week. I noticed on the stats that NCC doesn't throw much and our run D is lights out... Mayfield is coming to BG to make a statement.

Well...the fact that the DeSales players will have to pay 12$ to get into see the 2A final settles that I think.

I'm going Thursday for Beechwood, goofing in BG on Friday, then Saturday for WKU/So Miss and then the state games that night..then finally Sunday for the 2A game!

I don't think enough crow has been eaten on here by the DeSales posters! IMO O Cath was a better team than Desales. Defense....... not close to Mayfield's, their offense was not a top 10 Offense...not sure where the hype came from. I should call out names on here but I wont.

Does anyone for DeSales understand how difficult a win is at War Memorial? It hasn't happened in a playoff game since 1997. Not saying it cant happen but a close game goes to Mayfield..DS better hope for a blowout cause a close one goes to MF at home.

I've read all of this and pretty much stayed out of it. I would say the DS fans are by far the cockiest posters on here. One thing I will say is that DS has had NO coaching staff of Mayfield's caliber war gaming against them. I will say coaching makes the difference in this one as does the home field advantage, it usually always does with Mayfield. 24-14 Mayfield

No worry at all. OC fans are just willing to debate more than most. Most know what coming to War Memorial means and dont take it as lightly as OC fans seem to. This team isn't going to be the first team in forever to lose a playoff game at home. MF 35 OC 26
