What's amazing to me is that prior to Mayfield moving up, I truly expected Coach Rash to be hung I'm effigy in Ft. Mitchell. Now, it's like the second coming. Too funny. Why even have a state championship if Beechwood is the best small school? Honestly Class A is weak. Heck, LudLow, Bellevue and Dayton are pitiful. IMO, combine the Class A and AA. Now that would be competitive. Too many darn classes in Ky.

I'm sorry, the Top 3 players. I think NCC is definety in the Top 2. They're deep and have great leadership and experience.

For once, and I can't believe I am posting this, I agree with Lawn Boy regarding the Top 3. I'm not familiar with any other players.

9 days and I'm anxiously waiting to see how many non-Ft Thomas ladies transfer to Highlands on 02/14...

Ryle was by far the best freshman team I watched last year. Especially after the way they dismantled CCH in the final game. Not sure what's coming up the ladder this season, but they were a tremendously talented team....

Gee, I asked a similar question last year about Highlands softball team and received numerous personal messages complaining about my question. I'm glad to see that we are more politically correct and accepting in 2015 on the football page..... And, oh btw, no one ever answered my question....

Does really matter who they hire? Sorry, they could bring in Kerry Coombs from OSU and they still wouldn't be able to beat Highlands in the regional finals. The parents will love whatever coach that is hired for a year or two, and then they'll turn on him. Honestly, who would want that job? I just hope that the guys who coached the CCH freshman team don't get moved up.

Actually, I think the more appropriate question is, why even have an All A Tournament for any sport? I personally think it's worthless. I hate the fact that the "small" schools play the victims year in and year out. Hasn't it out lived its usefulness? Sorry, I'm not a fan never have been, never will be.....

With all due respect, the officials that work the state championships are not necessarily your best officials. Many of the best officials are working college games and can't officiate high school games for a full season. While I agree with Julian's suspension of the offending officials, over the years, he has watered down the talent of the officials that work the finals. Honestly, he has socialized the avocation of officiating. In most associations, each year, you can usually pick out the officials who are going to work the finals that particular year. It's become a culture of entitlement! IMO, only the best officials should work the playoffs. If that means you work 4, or maybe even 5 rounds, so be it. Because the playoff system in Ky is so ridiculous, anyone with a pulse or who can fog a mirror will work Round 1. If you don't get picked to work past Round 1, then just get better.

And the NKOA crew that worked that game was suspended for a game by the 9th Region Assignor.

I agree. Dixie has had a stellar year, but Trinity just has too many high quality athletes. Trinity will wear Dixie down.. Good luck though...

So you did officiate for 10 years or you have been officiating for 10 years? Just curious. In Northern Ky?

They had one good drive in the second half. Other than that, CCH was outplayed, out coached and just plain beat up! There were numerous times when CCH was lucky to get a play off before the :50 play clock expired! IMO it just seemed very chaotic. I will admit they have some nice players though. Dyer, Mayer and Thelen looked good.
