Great defensive showing by DeSales holding NewCath to -21 on the ground and only 50 total yards.

 

DeSales got a couple early scores and that was all they really needed. NewCath simply was overwhelmed by DeSales defensively.

Believe the guys on TV said DeSales held them to 50 yards on 50 plays. Quite impressive. Coach Davis has to be a hot property as a coach----but why leave? He has it going great there.

I don't know for sure but I think it probably takes in frosh and JV, too. But that still is quite a percentage of the total school enrollment, I'd think.

Most 2A schools that I see week in and week out have 40-60 players tops including everyone.

Who's the best palyer to come out of DeSales? Joe Federspiel, Bubba Paris.....?

Congrats to DeSales. They fought their way through the upper part of the bracket, which had the best teams in the class. Their win wasn't surprising, but congrats on ending the season as state champions.

It seemed like a lot of the players were juniors for the Colts. Do they have a lot coming back?

That was domination. DeSales is right right up there with almost anyone in the state defensively. Really not much to say. Much better team won. Congrats to the Breds for fighting through a tough year.
