Both.

I was afraid of this. There are going to be some good battles in the coming years between Mayfield and the Louisville 2A schools - DeSales and Christian Academy of Louisville.

 

Congrats to DeSales. They are in dynasty building mode.

DeSales was simy too much for NCC. The score

doesn't show how dominating they were. Congrats on their back to back titles.

I said that DeSales is a GCL style team and that is what they did. The lone exception was that they controlled the game from under center and not out of the shotgun. All ball control and D. That QB would have gone for 3000 yds and 30 plus TD'S had they put him in that O.

Good on offense and better on defense. Seemed to twist his ankle in the second half but did return.

He's definitely an impact player on D — they didn't use him much on offense when I saw them. With his size and speed it'd be dangerous if he played offense more often.

My presence might have been worth 7 points at best. Breds just ran into a "buzzsaw", no two bits about it.

New Cath was blown out by every non district team they played in NKY. Congrats to DeSales, but this does not surprise me. This half of 2a was really bad.

From what I watch today on Khsaa website Desales would kill any 1a team in the state they are that good. They can play with alot of teams in the state very solid team.

I'd say they'd more than hold their own all the way up to 5A and could be dangerous in 6A against certain teams. They're built to handle a lot of different situations and they have the numbers to platoon.

Just got home from BG. Good game NCC. Our defense was solid today. It was a tough road for us to get back to BG. I'm proud of our guys. We'll enjoy it for now, but time to get back to work next week, if we want to three-peat. We have a lot of talent coming back next year. CAL is going to be tough, I think Glasgow will be better, and now that Mayfield is in 2A on the west side will be a fight.
