People who have never spent time on the paint crew really have no idea how much time and materials are needed. A good “standard” paint job (all lines, hash marks, numbers, and any logos, etc.) takes several hours, at least 2 painters, and 50-75 gallons of paint.

I think Greenup Co wins this one just because I think they are in a better spot right now....but to go ahead and bury Russell like some seem to already have is dumb. Everyone wants to win every game but we all know that it TRULY begins counting in week 5.

I will have to go with Powell Co in this one. They are solid.

Rowan is much improved. Utterback at nose is a player and Wright has proven to be solid at the QB spot. Cats will have to bring their A game to have a chance at winning.

Thoughts and predictions?

They could pick up 3 wins before district play and maybe 2-3 district games as well. They are much improved on both sides of the ball.

Not surprised on this. Graham and Harrison County are going to be decent this season and Fleming County is not.

Sheldon Clark could get to .500. Lewis Co could be in the 2-4 range. Estill Co’s has maybe 1 possible non district win but they may finish 2nd in their district.

Greenup Co by a wide margin.

Now or back in the spring?

The loss of Dalton Barnett alone will really hurt them. They will be young and short on experience. Trimble will carry them as a senior.

“Upset” to some but Paris is solid and Rock is rumored to be struggling early on.

I'm not certain but feel that several of Raceland's JV playing in the varsity scrimmage may have been due to some of the varsity 1st team may not have played a whole lot. Raceland, like most teams doesn't show a lot in the Grid. … personel or play calls, sets, etc. Just a hunch. Players got to line up vs. a different jersey / opponent. … and It's h.s. football time in KY. ! Agree. Bath Co had 3 Sr starters on defense in street clothes. They will be ready for Game 1. They also didn’t show much. I would say 10 different plays would be a guess. Both teams have a chance to do something. It was a good scrimmage for both. Good luck to the Rams in 2018.
