Good news...alot of returning talent with a district title and regional final home game in sight. Bad news...That regional final opponent will be Beechwood. A district title and regional final is never a bad year for anyone.

Most wide open I ever remember. Anyone who gets to the regional could win it realistically.

12 years on staff at Rowan Co as an assistant.

Gtown loading up on QB's. Reese Ryan transferring in, Dalton Ferrell from Paducah Tilghman, and now Dampier. Throw in Riley Hall from Pulaski Co returning after starting games as a true freshman and that's a solid stable of KY QB's.

I said it before....there are going to be schools look at him in 2-3 years with much regret they did not go get him.

I find it interesting, at least in my world, that teams some think are "good" and competitive every year have 48 wins and teams thought to struggle every year have 55.....perception.

Horton will be one the U.K. Staff looks back at in a couple of years with much regret. Not only can he play in prime time on Saturday he COULD be seen one day on Sunday.

Weight training in the off season is essential to success but not a guarantee. I have seen several teams with good weight programs and strong kids that are not successful on the field. So yes program X could very easily push their student athletes to a level that program Y couldn't or doesn't.

Back on topic. Who do you think is in line for the Rowan County position? Any thoughts? An assistant? A new coach from the outside?

Maybe I should have asked who's left....these all left after this season? Dontae Wright was Def Coordinator in 2015 and went to Tennessee Tech. Moore took his spot for 2016 so did Moore leave also?

One would have to think retuning Wandale Robinson the next 2 seasons would make WH a threat to any opponent on their schedule district included.

He has not played QB previously correct.

West Carter has been solid the past few years. The addition of Whitt did help offset the hit of the 2016 graduating class this past season. Graduation this year will hit hard the 2nd year in a row with Brown, Whitt, McGlone, and Thornsberry gone from the offense and the leading tackler the past 3 seasons in Kouns. Several starting linemen also graduate. Peyton Brown will be as good a back as there is around but the Comets have a lot of spots to fill on both sides of the ball. Look for Brown to run the show as QB.

The Morgan Co Middle School coach I believe. Are the assistants from the middle school staff as well? Will he be able to get the kids out? What happens to the middle school program.
