John Hardin lost to Franklin Simpson in Semi-Finals

Waggner lost to Lexington Caltholic in 1st RD

Danville lost 2A finals to CAL

Wayne lost in Semi-Finals to State Champs in 4A Johnson Central

Collins lost to Shelby Co. in 2nd RD

North Hardin lost to Easter in 1st RD

Garrard lost to Central in 1st RD

Lexington Catholic lost to Central in Semi-Finals

Western Hills lost to Bardstown in 1st RD

Mercer lost to Wayne Co. in quarter finals

 

 

Just a run down of the team that are on the schedule and what they did last year in the playoffs.

Good to see Mercer back on the schedule....that should be a great football game.

As I have said, I am not crazy about Chuck being on the other sideline because of our friendship going back 30 years. But, Boyle & Mercer need to play. It is good for both programs and good for football in this area. From a financial standpoint, it is great for all the athletic teams at both schools. That gate money will help all of our teams and all of our kids at Mercer & Boyle.

I know that Danville will always be Boyle County's top rival, for obvious reasons. But from a Mercer County perspective, this is one a lot of folks in the community have been waiting to see on the schedule! Should be a great game! Looking forward to 10/27/17!

I expect Boyle to take a nice step forward next year.

 

Will that translate to a Championship push? Not sure yet... but I do think they will be a much more solid team in almost every regard than last year's squad.

When I was playing, Harrodsburg was every bit as much a rivalry as Danville. The difference is that we played Harrodsburg early in the year and the Ads in the last game. Now it's kind of flipped.
