I was at the game and thought Desales made things harder than they had too. They were having success with their base power run game with some counter boot thrown in and got a little too cute. One thing about playing MF is if you are doing something well you don't go away from it because as soon as you are in 2nd and 15 and HAVE to throw you are in trouble. They should have run about 4-5 different runs with some bootlegs thrown in and let the QB make more plays with his feet and they would have been better off. I have to say I was impressed with the athleticism of the QB.

Back to the recruiting trail for DS. Also, I mentioned earlier that Mf is a "system" team. Same system that handed Coach Davis his other playoff loss.

I'll take quick any day as long as they are tough.

Mayfield rolls. OC has not seen speed like Mayfield has.

North Hardin is not in Caldwell's top three wins. Caldwell trounced a Franklin Simpson team IN Franklin. A FS team that is still playing in the 4a Regional final. E town does not have a win that surpasses that.

This is why Daddies don't always need to be coaching. The guy should be suspended from coaching for a while. On the other side of the coin (not applicable in this situation, IMHO) some people think it's OK to criticize players and coaches like they are big time coaches in the NCAA or NFL. The only problem with that is you may see the people you criticize at the grocery store.

There were a lot of football coaches that weren't happy with what happened with Mercer.

FC might surprise somewhat. E-town will end up winning convincingly but FC has more speed that most of E-towns opponents this year.

And I'm not blaming MF, they did nothing wrong. Played a great game down to the end. I'm not taking anything away from their effort. If a college team cannot be expected to kill it in 3 seconds a HS team definitely can't do it 2.7.

No, MF did not have a timeout.

No honest person? They did a study at the college level and concluded that for the ball to be blown in, snapped, killed, and for the referee to stop the clock takes more than 3 seconds. It's a rule.

It was a great game, bad refs or not. Both teams will benefit from this type of game in week 10 because they have patsies next week. Both qbs will improve based on playing in that atmosphere and everyone will be over it in a couple of days. Good luck to both squads!!! If anyone wanted to see two teams slugging it out they should have been in Princeton last night.

Look guys the transfer rules in the KHSAA are a joke. If you have a decent lawyer and whine enough you will be eligible. If not they,KHSAA, may rule you ineligible. They hate to investigate and in many cases will refuse to do so if an individual at a school does not want to put their name on the accusation. It's getting to the point where everyone is breaking the rules so no one wants to be the whistleblower. And people can complain about the privates all they want, many of the worst offenders are a small group of publics.
