  1. This game was not a thing of beauty, turnovers, fouls galore, though there was plenty of good defense. The Big difference in this one was at the free throw line, where East went 29 of 34, that is some clutch foul shooting in a big game. Finally the Lady Chargers win the district after years of being the runner up.
  2. With Bullitt East going to #7 Franklin Co. and posting a double digit win, it may be time to give those Lady Chargers another hard look.
  3. Outstanding win for the last Chargers, going to #7 Franklin Co., and coming away with a double digit victory! Great to see the balanced scoring.
  4. I am going to try to answer the Lindsey Duvall question about...How far along is she? I can only go on what I personally seen Friday night. Even though she had 20 pts., and pulled the game out, she is not back to 100% from what I see. Her lateral movement and quickness is not quite there yet. Her driving to the bucket tenacity has a ways to go, plus getting back into playing shape...Now granted I am judging this compared to her peak self...I personally would not expect her to be at her best this season, but would an 80 - 90% Lindsey Duvall be enough to get East out of the region? My highest respects go out to this young lady for getting back this soon!
  5. Duvall did play for BE last night, came off the bench, coach put her in and out through the game. She wound up being the main factor in the 3 point win over North Bullitt. Scored 21 points, with many of those coming in the late moments of the game.
  6. I have watched Tyler Sharpe since his freshman year, and nearly every game from his sophmore year on...Every year this young man has added elements to his game, from being a set up shooter, he has developed into a complete all around player. His most improved asset is that he can take anyone off the dribble, he is a tenacious driver, and can finish with either hand. He can of course come off the screen and bury the three, his passing skill is well above average. He is a legitimate triple threat on offense. On the defensive end he brings it, hawking his man, steals, deflections, and for his size, he is one of the best rebounders that you would want from a 2 guard position. And finally maybe the most important asset that he brings to the table is his will & energy to the team. He is the spark plug, he runs with a high motor....He will make a great addition to any college club!
  7. This article stated that Carson Williams was much stronger and could jump higher than Bird...( which I will agree ) Larry Birds stats in his senior year in high school was 31 pts. 21 reb. pet game. Now the glaring disparity here is the rebounding avg. of 21 compared to Williams 10...With Carson having the physical tools to totally dominate the glass, and only to bring down slightly less than half of Birds totals??? Well as they say Ladies and Gentlemen...That will be the end of today's lesson!
  8. I do not believe he has. Looks like he might wait till seasons end. Right now he is focused in on the remainder of the season, looking to make it to the sweet sixteen, and possibly a championship.
  9. Tyler Sharpe has passed Derek Willis (UK) and only needs 15 points to pass Rusty Troutman(Bellarmine) for the Career points scored record at East. He has led Bullitt East in Scoring, Assists, Steals, and deflection for the last 3 years. This is a profile page that Coach Blackburn put together for him to be considered for post-season awards. 10. Spot on with this week's rankings. Good analysis on Bullitt East, the Bardstown loss could be a positive, down the stretch.
  11. A lackluster performance by the Chargers. A mess all the way around, I counted at least 10 missed point blank layups, to add to this debacle. We are coming down the stretch of the season...A good coaching staff will use this game to reel in they're teams focus, and motivation...Especially a senior laden squad as BE.
  12. East was hitting all cylinders during this game. They're pressing and trapping defense was causing much havoc for Meade. Great bench play from the BE reserves tonight, they looked very sharp on offense, with their passing to get open looks...(Sharpe must have had around 10 assists) which is very good to see. Oh and East draining 15 three's did not hurt the cause either.
  13. Congratulations to this young man. I have watched him since his freshman year, and he has vastly improved his game each and every season. He has such a solid all around game, but for now we will honor your marksmanship... Awesome job Tyler!
  14. To go on the road, versus a top 20 - 25 team (according to rankings) and bringing back the "W," very nice job by the Eagles. They are looking like a team not to be overlooked in the 6th!
  15. I must give BE much credit to date. An 8 game winning streak with this win at Mercy. Coach Stallings is doing a very fine job this year, especially without the services of Duvall. Will see if they can keep the the ball rolling.
  16. It was not a thing of beauty, phantom fouls everywhere. The Big man Farris for BE had a target on his back all night long. Now I understand why Shaq, used to complain about the disparity in the officiating when it came to him.
  17. I have to give it to ya "PP" U held up quite well under the glaring lights! Really good analysis on the teams and players. And I will give you props on your LIT championship prediction...Now just don't jinx the boys from "BE"...
  18. Some sloppy play by East for a big part of the game, till it got to the Tyler Sharpe show in the 2nd half, then it was lights out! Substitution patterns, especially in the first half were a big concern for East.
  19. Some decent matchups here, could very well see some higher seeds fall....BigDuke will be in the house
  20. Bullitt County!!! Taking it straight to the Big City! Ok I'm going to relish in this pole for this week. I cannot argue with these rankings whatsoever..."Good job ITP" With the LIT to play out this week, things may look very different in next week's regional rankings. But as far as right now...BULLITT COUNTY!!!
  21. Agree...I was seeing so many under the basket offensive rebounds FC was getting. Blocking out was a big problem. The Tigers were living off 2nd chance points, which kept putting East in must score situations.
  22. The Big eye opener I seen on the floor tonight was the rebounding differential in favor of FC. I don't know the final tally, but it seemed that the tigers had a big advantage on the offensive glass. East must sure that up before the next round. Other than that a highly competitive game, and in the last 4 minutes it was the Tyler Sharpe show, the kid is as good of a two guard as there is in the state...Props also go out to Jared Farris with a big game.
  23. Eight of the top ten teams are in all three polls, with Litkenhous being different...Imagine that? It looks like the upper tier are fairly steady at this point. With some key games across the state, and the LIT coming up, let's see what the next 2 weeks brings us.
  24. Looks good to me, with maybe the exception of PRP over FC. Even though I have not seen the Panthers to this point.
  25. At the 2014 KOB tourney, I asked Lloyd "Pinky" Gardner why an Indiana team has never played in the KOB. His response...Quote...Are you kidding me, I would love to have Indiana teams here, but Indiana rules say they can't play in tournaments like this that are out of state. So I suppose that would go for the LIT as well!
