I am curious to see how FC, Doss and PRP hold up in the LIT next week. On a given night they can compete with anyone, but, can they string 3 or 4 good games together within a four or five day stretch against good teams. I think BE can do that.

Agree about BE being able to string wins, they have proven that. The tough part about the LIT is the single elimination format. You win you advance and you lose you go home. The draw becomes a big part and even though it is seeded, the luck of the draw helps.

For instance Doss & PRP play each other so one of the two will advance to the quarterfinals. They play the winner of Male and likely KCD. Fern Creek did not fare so well having to face Central in the first round who was oddly seeded as the 10th ranked team. The winner of Fern Creek/Central likely plays Ballard. Bullitt East as the 3rd seed has a pretty nice set up to the semi-finals where they will face Fern Creek/Central/ or Ballard.

In Jefferson Co. there is open enrollment and kids can go where every they want. It is not hard at all to get them in most schools. With few exceptions Male and Butler which are traditional and take directly from their feeder middle schools. Manual and Brown being the most difficult as they are application and take the brightest and best from 100s and 1000s of applicants.

So a kid can go any where else they want if there is not a bus they just have to provide there own transportation.

When a kid transfers he needs the principal to release them 1st. They need to have a change of address into new schools resided or home school.

But Open Enrollment doesn't extend to sports eligibility does it? If so, Louisville kids would transfer every week.

It sort of does extend to sports. It does however limit your options. You can use open enrollment to go anywhere. But if you transfer and don't want to sit out, you can only transfer to your home school.
