  1. Yes Sharpe and Farris were both playing under the weather. But to be honest, East was going through the motions and playing with no urgency in the earlier schedule. I talked to some of the boys before the season and they thought they were going to just waltz through the season all the way to Rupp. Butler game was the beginning of their wake up call!
  2. Another great game at the KOB, it seems like they all have been. This was one of the most balanced years in memory... East vs. Wayne very competitive the whole way, congrats to both. Wayne Co. with the triple threat of Woods, Blevins, and Stearns, should be a contender through out. East is one of the more balanced teams, with really good guard play, and an improving inside game with size.
  3. Bullitt East was the underdog in all 4 games at KOB, to come out 3-1 is a tribute to the team. They are playing with more purpose now, early in the schedule they were lackadaisical and going through the motions, they thought they would just show up and win. Doss plays harder than any team I seen at KOB, haven't seen PRP yet this year, but they seem to be doing well. Regionals should be a lot of fun!
  4. Exactly, there was a lid on the rim for East. I see some people want to blame a few free throws for the loss to Holmes...Though I'll say the two banked in three balls for Holmes cancels that argument out. I was surprised East turned over Holmes & Bolden down the stretch with such success.
  5. Doss has looked quite impressive, hustle, hustle, hustle, they play with more than any team i've seen to date! I picked them for the finals at KOB, but Taylor Co. put an end to that. What a great tourney so far!!!
  6. Pretty much in agreement, with the exception of Desales above Bullitt East...East has showed up well at the KOB!
  7. Kind of sad to see this game end in that manner...As i watched the release of the ball, I was unsure if it was in time or not. I was leaning toward counting it, but the pic proves differently...Unfortunate for CPA!
  8. It was a bit more than that...OHS was in control of the game due to their offensive attack of going inside to the two bigs, they could not be stopped. Then for some reason they got away from that, and went more perimeter....So they stopped scoring, the unbelievable barrage of three's came pouring down from Wayne Co. Their intensity picked up, and OHS never got back on track. What a shooting performance!!!
  9. Wow, the 6th seems to be more up in the air, by the week...The coaching change at Fern Creek has made all the difference this year!
  10. Riverdog44, u are exactly right. I was at this one, the calls at this game were one sided to say the least. In the final seconds of the 1st overtime, I was standing behind the BE basket, in a tie game with about 7 seconds remaining Tyler Sharpe for BE steals the ball, going in for the game winning layup the Bardstown player not only bangs into his shoulder, but hatchets down across the kids elbows - forearms, a blatant foul to say the least, the ref is in perfect position for the call, and proceeded to swallow the whistle, with 2 seconds on the clock, then gives Bardstown the ball. This was in no way a judgement foul. Sharpe would have only had to hit one of two free throws to win the game!
  11. I would probably agree that East is right at the 3rd seed if u will in the 6th. A good win last night over a top 20 team in E-town. Bullitt East has a well balanced team with guard play and size, it does hurt that Ezra Troutman will be out for the remainder...Leading rebounder, the kid is a Warrior!
